I feel like the DW is big and distinct enough to make it look like it’s not meant to be read as DoctorDWWHo

That said, it would be nice if other media or even ranges of physical TV media sold would either always use the logo corresponding to the era or Doctor it’s set in, or just always used the same logo for the same range. (Something I appreciate The Collection for doing).
Also seconding this
Using the logo of a certain era as shorthand to show when a story takes place is just a great idea, and it’s a real shame Big Finish don’t do this at the moment
Plus it could give us some fun unique logos like a War Doctor logo, or a Fugitive Doctor logo
Or the DWARDIS could have gone on either side.
You know what I don’t like with the newer logos? The way BBC has to be put on it too.
I’m surprised there’s such a clear majority for the '96 logo!
Also what’s the difference between the '18-21 and the '21-22 logo?

It is clean and it looks nice!

Also what’s the difference between the '18-21 and the '21-22 logo?
I have no idea. But it looked like that in the graphic I found.
The only thing that ever changed with the Whittaker logo was the addition of the subtitle “Flux” but I don’t think the logo ever actually changed.
I saw your shocked face @shauny…
I just find this logo really clunky. It’s assymetrical for a start and I don’t like the font choice (the R is horrid and what’s with the little flourishes on the H and W - no one writes those letters as capitals with bits like that).

I have all the logos on my computer - for a while I was going to put the era logo in a little box on the story page, but decided against it.
For Thirteen, the “BBC” logo changed halfway through lol, the text just got smaller.
Oh and as far as small glyphs, I love the DWARDIS but second best is this:
I also don’t have a problem with the DWARDIS (a word only DW fans understand ), but I see why people dislike it. I rather loved the idea of it, especially how the DW spun to become the real TARDIS in the title sequence (my favourite title sequence, btw).
One of the problems I have with BF currently is that they always use the current logo in their releases, and they’ve dropped the “xx Doctor Adventures” from their titles, so it can be a bit hard to figure out at first glance which Doctor’s set it is now. I wish they (and everybody else) would either use a standard logo for everything (such as the Pertwee logo) or use the logo corresponding to the era the story belongs to.

DWARDIS (a word only DW fans understand
)
#fakefan moment for me then What does it mean???
It’s the DW in the shape of the TARDIS from the Smith era logo!
@TARDIS32 called it DWARDIS and we all just immediately accepted it
Acting like I coined the term. I stole it from someone on the Doctor Who Discord a long time ago.
I’ve never seen anyone hating on the DWARDIS I love that thing <3
1996, It’s the best logo for (the best) Doctor Who!
I really adore it, yes it’s very much a new Version from the Pertwee Logo, but come on, that one was excellent already, adding the blue makes it even better!
Maybe I am bias since I am so used to seeing that one used on all the EU Media for a long while, but really it’s sooo good!
Honorable Mention goes to Whittaker’s and Hartnell’s Logo. Both very iconic in their own right.
I do like the Tom Logo a lot as well, it’s so charming and fits really well with the Theme Sequence!
Smith’s Logo is very clever, probably my favorite from NuWho if I am being honest.
Both 80s Logos are lovely!
The Throughton One is okay, not much there to say, just kinda okay and that’s it.
I like the Capaldi Logo, but somewhat not can get behind the previous Iterations of it for Smith, especially the Series 7b one, that one just stinks for me.
I don’t like either Logo for Tennant or Eccelston, sure it has its charm, but ehh I am somehow never can get behind it.
Same with the McCoy one, I think that one I like much more than the 2000s ones, but still I am not sure. Charming? Sure. But one of the best? (For me at least: Not so much).
I don’t like the current Logo very much, I know in many ways it’s just a modern Redesign of the Diamond one, but I don’t know, it feels kinda a bit too busy somehow?? Maybe I can get less on board, since I do often have the Logos in my Memories very attached to how they are used in the title sequences, which I think doesn’t work well for this current one in either of the two title sequences. In many ways I believe the Diamond Logo is so perfect for the 4:3 Aspect Ratio, yet here it feels somewhat akward, as if too much space isn’t filled with it.
Anyway, that’s enough of a Who Fan rambling on about all the Logos.
They’re all better than the golden surfboard
I love that era but the logo is not that good.
Aside from Eccleston I’m not a big fan of the era or the logo.
For new Who my enjoyment is the opposite of what I think of the logos. I would rank the logos:
13
12
11
10/9
And I rank the Doctors
10
11
9
12
13
