Impressive for listing them all. Obviously he isn’t in all of them, but lord… I thought I was being hyperbolic when I said 25 :sob: HOW IS IT MORE?

Not that I complain, just kinda shocked about the amount!

Back when BBC Studios had money. Those were the days. It was a bit of a jolt at the time, when the Capaldi era kicked off and minisodes were like a rare bird.

Going for The Power of Three and Nightmare in Silver.
I’m really not a fan of this season, it’s difficult to pick two stories I would classify as liking.
If 7V were here, it’d be two stories from there, easily.

Series 7 is kinda one of those Series where there are several good episodes but everything together just doesn’t gel all that well. At least in my opinion.

Honestly I think there are only a few kinda bad stories (The Doctor, The Widow, and the way too long title; Dinosaurs on a Spaceship though it is entertaining, and Nightmare in Silver) but the whole thing together is just kinda dull. Most episodes are decent at the very least and it has a few really good episodes, but no real heavy-hitters.

For 7A, I really like The Power of Three even if the ending does disappoint (damn you Steven Berkoff, I like you in Octopussy why were you a prick here?) but I have to go with The Angels Take Manhattan. It’s one of those stories where the emotional beats win out over logical flaws.

And for 7B I’m going with Cold War, I actually really like it. Maybe it’s because it was my first Ice Warrior story so it didn’t have standards to beat for me, but I just think the story is tense and scary. Reminded me of Dalek from Series 1 (but that story is definitely better). And Clara gets a great scene with the professor. I didn’t even mind Skaldak leaving his armor, nor his CGI face.

Today marks 12 years since Bells of St.John aired what are your thoughts on this story?

7B is my absolute favorite, and many in season 7 are bangers. This was hard to choose.

But decided on Angels for 7A, and Journey for 7B.

It’s a beautiful season

I know too much about computers to have ever been able to take the premise of Bells of St. John seriously, unfortunately, so I’ve never really been a fan of it…

I recently rewatched Bells of St John, I think I enjoyed it more this time than I did during previous watches.

The Doctor is absolutely adorable this episode, I quite enjoy watching 11 act all smittened and adorkable, and while I do miss the brown tweed, his new outfit fits the character perfectly.

Now if I were Clara, I would be absolutely put off by the Doctor, this strange man wearing weird clothes comes banging on my door, knows who I am, and just acts like an all around weirdo, then you suddenly pass out, he puts you to bed and waits outside your house for you to wake up, then tries to convince you to go into his snogging booth, MAJOR STALKER VIBES, DO NOT ENGAGE. /j

Today marks 12 years since Rings of Akhaten, also first Clara’s adventure, what do you think of this story and do you think it aged good? Personally its one of my favorites in 7B.

I’ve never liked Rings, honestly it’s probably my single least favourite story of the entire modern era. It just fails on every single level for me.

I love it. The atmosphere is amazing and it’s a great first adventure for Clara and 11. It has one of my favorite soundtrack score. His speech is amazing.

I’m with you on this one all the way :+1:

From the exceedingly excessive use of the Sonic Screwdriver Magic Wand, to the singing :roll_eyes::roll_eyes:, this story for me has nothing going for it.

And Matt Smith’s delivery of that speech is frightfully bad…

And the leaf is ridiculous…

Oh the singing :roll_eyes::roll_eyes::roll_eyes:

It’s alright. I absolutely love the setting and all the alien designs. I think the speech is great. The overall story’s not that great though.

Oh I love Akhaten - I love the atmosphere, the aliens, the Doctor and Clara exploring. And I love the speech. I really do. I love it when Matt Smith does that <3

This might be the first post that I’ve disagreed with everything that is said here , all the things that you dislike about the episode is why I love it so much, just goes to show how varied the Doctor Who fandom can be.

Though I really can’t disagree with you on the leaf and screwdriver point, the leaf is a bit of an ass pull, and the Sonic being used as a magic wand is a general problem with 11’s era as a whole. However I will defend the Long Song and the speech with all my heart

Definitely, I love how varied Doctor Who can be. Even if there’s a story you really don’t like, it’s someone else’s favourite
