Quite right everything Doctor Who has done since 23rd November 1963 has been the worst!
No no, this oneās accurate. She deserved to.
Honestly? I think Series 7b takes the Spot for me, this was just a hard one for me to finish. I donāt enjoy the dynamic between 11 and Clara in this Series. I donāt like how 11 is portrayed in that set of episodes, lots of interesting ideas executed pretty poorly. And really itās probably one of the most boring runs of the show overall for me at least. I like hide and Cold War fine enough, the rest? It ranges from being pretty meh to not a fan at all (cough nightmare in silver, journey, cough). Honestly, @eevee already summarized some great points.
Overall itās such a nothing run of episodes, is it the worst? Maybe not. But itās fairly nothing to me, very dull and very boring. And thatās honestly worse than outright bad episodes for me, at least then I have something, with most of this Series? Nope, nothing. I am of course happy for anybody who was able to enjoy this Set of Episodes, no doubts, but for me, personally, it really just exist, I guess.
Series 11, Series 12 and Series 13 easily.
I honestly think a lot of people should do what I did last year with my 13 rewatch cause my opinions did a 180. Anyways! I voted 7B although in my head I donāt class either 6 or 7 to be A or B in my head theyāre the same series so thereās that. Also Iām never not including Ncutiās era in ānew whoā I think calling it anything else is a ridiculous decision made by RTD.
For me itās 7b by a longshot. No matter how many issues I had with series 11, I was rarely feeling as down on the show as I was with 7b. Itās why Iām still amazed that Day is as amazing as it was considering it was written by a burnt out Moffat working on two shows at once debuting in the same year as 7b
Series 2. Itās the only one with no favourite characters and no favourite episodes.
Series 7 is massively overhated, but I am not keen on Series 2.
Though, with a rewatch coming up, my opinions might changeā¦
Series 7b. Though I do like Clara and 11 together, 7b, and really series 7 as a whole, has many issues.
Genuinely, besides Day of the Doctor, what here is a standout? Because in every other series I can find an episode I LOVE. Even in series 11, there was Demons of the Punjab.
And series 7b has episodes I dislike right in a row. Crimson Horror, Journey to the Centre of the Tardis, and Nightmare in Silver. And I genuinely dislike Nightmare in Silver.
While with series 2 I donāt like Love and Monsters, or Idiots Lantern, thereās several standouts, like The Impossible Planet or Girl in the Fireplace.
Iām also not really a fan of 7a either. Honestly, series 7 as a whole just doesnāt do it for me.
I think Crimson Horror is the standout of that season, genuinely think itās just really fun
Iām glad you enjoy it! Itās been a few years since my last rewatch but something about it didnāt click with me. Iāll have to give it another watch and re-evaluate.
The variety of takes and opinions on stories, and how every one of them is at least one personās favorite, is something I really love about Doctor Who.
