I’ve watched 3 of the 4 parts of The Twin Dilemma. Is it okay to say that I am liking it?
I guess maybe part of the reason that I’m liking it is I feel a lot of sympathy with the Doctor right now; I’m feeling unsteady, angry, and confused because of changes in my life. I’m enjoying the manic take on the Doctor, and making it so he has difficulty doing what he wants to do because of his mood. I’ve found some of the jokes in the serial to be funny, even if the plot and acting are not the best. Not sure what rating it will have yet, but it is probable that it will get at least a three of five.

It’s definitely overhated. I think it being the last serial of the season, and then a gap before seeing more of Colin as the Doctor contributed to the overall reaction people had. And the attack on Peri didn’t help…

That’s what got me. Colin’s a big lad, and Nicola is diminutive comparably. We know we’re watching The Doctor and Peri, but having him throw her to the floor and try to strangle her desperately needed some pay-off, some huge apologetic gesture. All we got was The Doctor shouting that he should exile himself … with Peri as his servant! I’m all for making the character spikey and alien, but this was not the way to go about it.

Just did a rewatch of “The Doctor, The Widow and the Wardrobe”.
Why is it some folks don’t like this one?
It’s camp, it’s a bit corny but hey it’s Christmas fun time 
It can go in my “good just shy of great” pile along with Babies Space Babies!!!
… Humany-wumany is a ridiculous line…
