Halfway through ‘The Mutants’. Is it just me, or is this one, uh, pretty bad? All the side characters’ acting is horrible.
It’s mostly Rick James (Cotton) who’s all that bad, and it’s bad. Ky and Varan have some rough moments but are passable for the most part. The Marshal, Stubbs, Jaeger, and Sondergaard (though I’m not sure on the accent) are fine.
It gets rather slow in the middle, that’s probably my biggest mark against it.
Blimey - it’s not exactly subtle…
Pushing on through the 7th Doctor era, The Greatest Show in the Galaxy
OMG its Peggy Mount!
Been watching more Arrow. Next up is “Vertigo”.
Battlefield. I kinda wish it would just carry on from the opening scene & been a One Foot in the Grave style sitcom about retired life for the Brigadier. They could still have called it Battlefield.
OMG!
The new Brigadier is a black woman!
WTF is this?
Doctor Woke!
Shame
I really want this now!!
I’ve battled zygons, autons, yetis & more
I’ve even helped stop interplanetary war
Given half a chance there’s still worlds I can save
One foot in the grave
Watched Out of Time.
I have very mixed thoughts on this one, but the positives just about beat the negatives.
Rewatched World Enough and Time/The Doctor Falls. Still the greatest story to ever.
“Get off my world!”
After a little pause, I continued my rewatch with The Evil of the Daleks. I must be honest, I find this story a little boring. It really suffers from being 7 parts. The human factor plot is kind of interesting, but it gets dragged out. It is not bad, but it could be better. The animation is great!
I rewatched TW: Small Worlds for Monday TV Club. But my thoughts on it have to wait until next week.
Alright, I won’t forget again…
We’ll see about that come Monday. But rest assured, our eyes are on you
You need a very good excuse for us to forgive you…
I don’t believe it until I see it in the draft category
Forgot to mention I just rewatched the Ninth Doctor era!
Most episodes I had only seen once, at the start of my Doctor Who journey. So this was a really fun experience, as I got to discover new moments of these episodes that I haven’t seen in so long.
This is my younger brother’s first time watching these episodes, and he’s been loving them!
He can’t wait for The Christmas Invasion!
Oh I also started Class and I have a lot of thoughts
Survival time, this is how the Classic Era ends, “Not with a bang but a whimper”.
The family is finally better. This means that me and my wife finally had energy left to continue to watch Who this evening. We started with the last ten minutes of The Next Doctor and then watched about half of Planet Of the Dead.
So coming up, you’ve got the terrifying Waters of Mars, the controversial End of Time, and the dawn of a new era with The Eleventh Hour!
