Still ill, still relentlessly forcing my way through the McCoy era. Maybe its distracting me from how sick I feel? Delta and the Bannermen time!

Doctor Who “Mel, I don’t like the look of this one little bit.”

Kend Dodd turns up

Why are they so excited about winning a prize to go to Disneyland in 1959? They literally have a time machine!

Strong Children’s ITV vibes. Feels like T-Bag.

You say this like it’s a bad thing..

The TARDIS is notoriously unreliable. Maybe they keep trying to hit 1959 and keep ending up in 2025 and can’t bear to set foot in Trump’s USA.

Hugh Lloyd has turned up as a beekeeper. Things are looking up

Fair play to Billy. He’s taking this in his stride. Oh you got a green baby. Fine lets all go for a ride on my bike.

So Doctor Who visits a Welsh holiday camp in the 1950s & it isn’t a Hi-de-Hi! crossover!

Watching An Unearthly Child. It’s not the best thing ever, but it’s pretty good.

But they are better than they get credit for. The only problem is that there should have been more exploration of the mystery of the Doctor and Susan in them, or they should have been later in the season.

Just because it’s the first ever story in a show which has run for over sixty years doesn’t make it significant!

Just kidding. Now that I’ve finished it, I can say that I enjoyed the caveman parts.

I watched State of Decay today. Ah, Terrance Dicks and Gothic horror, I’ve missed ya! Such a fantastic atmosphere in this one. Yom and Lalla aren’t on speaking terms, but sparkle throughout! Adric is completely sidelined, and the Three Who Rule are wonderfully camp. I even love Akon (not the singer). Great medieval vibes here as well, but it suffers a bit from a slow pace and no real plot in the middle episodes. 7/10.

Fun Fact: this story has a connection to Sweden. One of the characters is named Kalmar, which just happens to be a town in Sweden

Love this one, even though Adric is a coniving little shit.
