Tyy! They’re indeed a bit long, so I’m not sure when I’ll be able to commit to reading them fully (still have some official Clara material to read after all) but I’ve just gone over the first two chapters of the second one and might read that in parts. Really appreciate these!
Can we travel back in time and make s three season spinoff series just with Jamie and Samantha Briggs
We’re getting her via Big Finish.
Wishful thinking or an announcement I’ve forgotten?
She’s in the next Classic Monsters set and there’s been a quote talking about ‘sets’ being recorded.
Watch the third episode of TW for tomorrow’s TV club. My thoughts will have to wait until tomorrow.
‘The Invisible Enemy’ was a bit meh but at least K9 is here now….
I know another show with K9! K9 - How?!?! Why?!?!
See I just put that one on right now because I love it! It’s so silly <3
Finished City of Death.
Key takeaways as follows;
- Why does Genesis always get lots of love when this is, imo, miles better
- Romana can do no wrong (especially when it comes to fashion.)
- When are we getting a Duggan spinoff Big Finish??
Finished Cyberwoman.
I now like Ianto even more!
They’re both excellent, but wildly different stories. I guess it depends on what you’re looking for. I’d say City and Genesis are both generally highly praised too.
I finished Power of the Dalek while training at the gym today. I love this story and think that it is a great Dalek story and a fantastic start to the Second Doctor.
I think it’s the best Dalek story, not that it doesn’t have some tough competition though.
Watched the last two episodes of the Aztecs, and I think it’s among my least favorite serials so far, which is a shame considering how well liked it generally seems to be. It’s very tense and I love the tragedy of the story, Barbara is great, but there’s not enough actually happening for me plotwise. And the shenanigans they got up to I didn’t find as varied as for example happens in The Daleks. It’s all a bit too much of the same for the majority of it. So only 4 stars, sorry azteccians.
Just watched Part 4 of The Invasion of Time.
To use a catchphrase of some proto-cybermen, “pain”
That’s… that’s… that’s blasphemous! I’m beyond words! What are you, a Paw Patrol fan? /j
