Watched The Savages this morning. This is a great story and I can’t wait for the animation. Even if it feels a bit sudden I feel like this is a good exit for Steven. Is there a good story of what happens to Steven next?

Are they good?

Yeah, not bad. The second and third parts, though are on the First Doctor CCs volume one box set.

Watched The Leisure Hive. I’ve always enjoyed Season 18, and that was one of the rare Classic Who serials that had me hooked the entire time and felt like it was doing something completely unprecedented with the concepts it explored.

All that said, it did feel like a bit of a fever dream the entire time.

Watching “The Lodger” at the moment

Series 5 is just brilliant.
Craig and Sophie is such a cute romance :slightly_smiling_face:

Yeah, I like that one. Closing Time though…

Shame the guy is the way he is off-screen

This means nothing to me. I’ve no idea what James Corden has done. And I got to say this, I am really not interested in knowing.
I watch shows like Doctor Who as a means of escapist fun, for the brilliant plots and stories and the endless imagination of that amazing Whoniverse.
I need to have a degree of separation between the art and the artist.
There are other actors and authors that I have been told are problematic in some way or another where I haven’t got a clue what people are talking about, and I don’t want to actively search out the reason because it might create a niggle towards the show that might detract from my enjoyment of those episodes.

Nothing personal here @TARDIS32 , it’s just kind of a bugbear I am developing I guess. :slightly_smiling_face:

Oh yeah, of course. Separation of art and artist is essential frequently.

The Claws of Axos really is the episode you get if you look up “Pertwee Era Doctor Who” isn’t it? A textbook example.

I really is
I want a Tales of the TARDIS of this one

It’s oddly one I’ve never disliked, but there were always ones I’d rather watch. But so far this time I’m up on it.

Watched the 3 surviving episodes of The Daleks Master Plan, and have now moved onto the colour animation of Galaxy Four.

Bill should have been a regular. I like him more than Yates even.

Do give the full story a go sometime. Missing out on a lot of good stuff with just 3 episodes of it.

He’s genuinely a great character :grin::+1:

I really struggle with recons and I remember trying the surviving audio by itself but never finished it. I just finished reading the second half of the novelisation and greatly enjoyed experiencing it in full that way though!

Well. That’s how they rewatched all of them back in the day. I’ve only honestly been into recons within the last 5-10 years, so I understand if they’re not the easiest to get into. By the time I watched them all I got to the point that I hardly see it differently to an existing episode, but that was an adjustment period. I’ve never watched a color animation though. Hope you enjoy Galaxy 4.

I’ve been on a rewatch of Series A on the new Blu-Ray myself. It’s good stuff.
