Curses! Foiled by my inability to read words within parentheses!
Oh my god we’re reading the exact same things right now lol
Well, great minds think alike, and whatnot
But fools rarely differ
Continuing to work my way through the VNAs… I finished Love and War, and it’s certainly a very good book, but I felt like I needed to lie down after I finished it. Damn. It got very raw there.
I’ve started on Transit, and despite its reputation, I’m really enjoying it! Feels a lot like Warhead, which is one of my favourites of the run so far.
Kadiatu is a great character, and I love the setting.
Feel free to hop over into Book Club if you want to discuss some of these in more detail or read our thoughts on them.
Finished the Day of the Doctor (before @MrColdStream, perhaps?), and am halfway through The Star Beast.
I haven’t even started on it yet, as I got carried away by the Myth Makers novelisation
(But don’t tell @BillFiler, he might go berserk).
You should read Day of the Doctor. It is the best Target book!
Even @BillFiler likes it and he hates the tenth Doctor
Calm down, friends! I’m going to read it, I just have other books to read first I only have a limited amount of hours in a day at my disposal!
Well, it has to be an instant 10/10, then!
What you need is my workday. It goes on FOREVER!
I need your workday and no wife who needs my love and attention the other half of the day
Wives can be so draining on our Doctor Who time can’t they…
Is this some sort of trap???
(Yes😉)
If I didn’t have a wife I’d have to rely on you folks for ALL my validation and appreciation, instead of only most of it, like I do now.
They can be. I’m fortunate mine likes to watch Doctor Who (likes to watch David Tennant maybe a little too much). Not much drain there, though my reading time does take a hit.
Mine does too. She doesn’t even mind an audio on a long car journey either.
The time I spend on this website is getting increasingly side-eyed though…
Got through the entirety of the Star Beast in one afternoon, so am now starting Wild Blue Yonder.
(Art of Destruction is boring as anything, isn’t it?)
Finished The Myth Makers and I still can’t believe how good it was!
Slowly working my way through The Art of Destruction, but I’m losing interest a bit. Like @DontBlink said, it’s not terribly interesting.
Now, was there some other book I was supposed to read? I don’t think so…
