I managed to get stuck in a bad ending lmao
Just wait til you get to the musical number.
Whoops, seeing this a little late, I’m basically at the end now
Taking a moment’s break to drop another quote that I thought someone on here might appreciate
Mel laughed back at him, just as happy as when they fled from the Bannermen Fleet on a motorbike. ‘Mad Aunty Mel!’ She raised her glass in in a toast.
And finished!
So not only do I need to buy The Day of the Doctor novelisation but I also have to buy The Giggle one too.
You guys are going to ■■■■■■■ bankrupt me!
Pretty much
I’m sure we can get you banned if you want - it’s bad for us but good for your wallet
I could always ban myself. But I think I’d miss all you guys too much!
Over halfway through Winner Takes All.
100%! They are both awesome!
Thumbed through ** The Magnificent Book of Dinosaurs** by Tom Jackson last night. Very basic data, but beautiful images. Also read Mace Windu: The Twilight Run. It’s a decent story with okay art.
Oh, I forgot I read this series when it came out! I agree with both your points.
Finished Winner Takes All, and am about to start reading Frazer Hines’s Evil of the Daleks!
Don’t forget that there’s a Book Club thread for Winner Takes All of you want to talk about the book.
I’ll look at that right now!
And look at it, dear reader, they did.
Jumped back into The Adventures Before and ahead to the fourth story, The Four Faces of Immortality. I enjoyed this much more than the forst story in this set, however I find it odd that it’s here as a prequel when it’s not? Like, this is about Borusa after he’s been giving Immortality at the end of The Five Doctors. Sure the other characters are recounting events from long before the story, but the framework for that is not prequel territory, it’s a sequel surely? Regardless I enjoyed this, and there’s lot’s of fun references to Gallifreyan lore including Zagreus, the Timewyrm, even the Other, which I find delightful that we can get references to these in a BBC Books release in 2024. That is just lovely x
I finished that book last night. I found it quite good. Did you still finish it, even though “it fell apart”.
What did you think of the rest?
I am always facinated by Ben and Polly in other media, because I always felt that in the tv stories their charactera arent very fleshed out and appear very generic because of that.
I felt the same way. I finished it recently. Very awesome
I loved the forgotten Son, was so hooked I read it in one day. Cant wait to read the next, if that’s even better
