Found out there is an erotic unlicensed novel called The Stranger and Rasillon’s teeth…! Those wilderness years are no joke! :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

There’s a couple of erotic novels with the amnesiac 8th Doctor allegedly. One of the book authors wrote them under a pseudonym but I forget who it was.

“Allegedly” :eyes:

That means you have them tucked away somewhere right?

Been reading The Senosorites and plan to listen to Susan’s War after in preparation for the upcoming box sets. Also on the finale story of A Cold Day in Hell graphic novel. My friend staying with me for two weeks seriously slowed down my reading pace and I plan to finally finish Twilight of the Gods and Caged soon.

I’ve been reading this year’s Free Comic Book Day comic and the first issue of the 15th Doctor run (liking it so far!).

I’ve also begun reading the third 11th Doctor comic collection, Conversion.

And I started on Caged as well.

Forgot that this was out! Now I know what I will be reading at my lunch break tomorrow :star_struck:

Yup! But it’s nerve-wracking having to wait for the next issue when I’m used to reading the collected editions :joy:

So my friend was staying with me for two weeks and it honestly slowed my reading down so much, but now she’s back home I am zooming along. Finished A Cold Day in Hell and The Sensorites and am now moving onto The Stealers of Dreams to keep up with the book club. Comic wise I may continue with the Seventh Doctor strips or I may jop back to Titan and either finish the Tenth Doctor or the next Thirteen paperback.

Just Read Origins · Doctor Who Comic (2020) · TARDIS Guide
Surprised about the 3.83 rating. I thought it was a really nice, self-contained story, with the added bonus of piquing my curiosity about the times before ‘The First’ Doctor. Gave it 4.5 myself.

Just finished The Dark Path and I will have to let it sit. However, I think I really enjoyed it. It’s a bit of a runaround in some places but at the same time, everyone is really well characterized. Despite Delgado being on the cover, Koschei is very much not quite the Delgado Master which makes this surprisingly easier to slot into canon than it would have otherwise.

The Chains of Olympus (DWM Eleventh Doctor Comics Volume 2) and Short Trips: The Centenarian.

Has anyone else read Short Trips: The Centenarian? I read the prologue last night and am a bit confused on which Doctor is featured. The Wiki and the Guide say Eighth Doctor. However, in reading it it feels much more like the First Doctor and Steven with comments such as “…to see Mrs Best holding a rolling pin to the face of a young gentleman I’d never seen before. An old man was standing next to him.” It describes the old man as having bright white hair and angrily waving a stick. “The younger gentleman was doing his best to calm him (the old man). Now, he was a looker! A real fine, handsome gentleman!” It describes the older man’s eyes as “unearthly”. Plus, it’s always the older man that does the talking. Anyone else have any thoughts?

Not read it but I’d be inclined to go with the First Doctor based on what you’ve said it describes and put the wiki down as wrong (which is where the guide will have got the info from).

Cause either it’s the Eighth Doctor with an unknown older male companion or the First Doctor, of whom Steven is the only time that he’s travelling with a solo male companion. I think the reason why the wiki went with Mcgann is because the final story which majorly ties in with this prologue explicitly features the Eighth Doctor and the Prologue features the “Bruce/TV Movie” Master. I can also see the "he was a looker! A real fine, handsome gentleman!” being used as evidence that it’s Eight.

It really is a bugbear of mine in the short stories where they are deliberately vague about which Doctor it is. It really limits my enjoyment of a story because my mind can’t settle on what I’m supposed to be visualising.
