What Are You Currently Playing?

I discovered the games, because I was told that my favourite series (Like a Dragon/Yakuza) was something of a spiritual successor.
The fact that Shenmue 3 at all existed is something of a wonder in and of itself from my understanding.
I really want to get to them myself!

I had given up on getting a sequel to the second game. I backed the third one on Kickstarter even if I had no way of playing it.

Did you play them?

I have been thinking of playing the first Yakuza now when it is on Switch

Right, there was a Kickstarter for it!
I started the first one, but something came up and I didn’t finish it. I definitely want to play them though.

Yes, they ported them at the same time the show came out. It apparently has a unique OST setting for an original track that wasn’t on the other versions!

For me personally - “Deep Rock Galactic”.

So silly and fun game, I’m playing it non-stop now.

For those who don’t know - it’s a game about dwarfes-miners, who mine minerals under the surface of a dangerous rock planet for a corrupt company Deep Rock Galactic. Nothing unusual, but the planet is inhabited by bug-like creatures - and they are very agressive.
This game isn’t serious whatsoever - it’s so much fun. You can do the most stupid thing imagineable, and even if you fail the mission it isn’t that bad, because you had fun.

I highly recommend Deep Rock Galactic for everyone.

FOR ROCK AND STONE

I tried that out and really enjoyed it but don’t spend much time playing games at the moment.

The game I’ve been playing the most has been Pikmin 4, I love Pikmin and I have bought it for my nephew for Christmas as well.

This is quite similar to the “what are you currently playing” topic so maybe we will merge it :eyes:

I have been thinking about getting into Pikmin but have never tried it.

It’s a lot of fun, a good strategy game, and very cute

I sorted my steam library by rating and tried playing a few of the lowest rated ones recently.

Didn’t discover any I really liked that much, though.

Been playing a bit of Modded Minecraft recently, specifically a modpack based around Create

If you haven’t seen the Create mod, absolutely watch this video, it’s incredible!

While listening to audios, I’m playing Dark Souls 3, but I’m struggling so much. I’ve been playing for 4 hours, and I’m still stuck on the second boss. But I still enjoy the game.

Hopefully Vordt and not the Dancer for the second boss? (If it’s Dancer, go down instead of up.)

Mostly get under him, and hit his rear. When he goes into the second phase, get out of his way when he’s charging.

You can also kill enemies for a bit to get titanite shards to upgrade your weapons, there’s some gold pine resin around you can put on your weapon during the fight, and there are potentially two npc summons for the fight. One by the stairs, and one right before the boss that’s only there if you’ve killed that swordman by firelink. You have to be embered to see the summons.

Been playing Jurassic World Evolution 2 lately. I’ve got plenty of games in my steam library plus shared games with my brother (yeah, I’ve seen the new message about changes to family sharing), but nothing sounds fun to me.

Incidentally, things you can do before the second boss in Dark Souls 3 include:
There’s a guy in a locked cell. You can find a key and free him, and he’ll show up at firelink shrine and sell you stuff. (Often at better prices then the shrine maiden.)

Near the key, there’s an estus flask shard you can give to Andre to get an extra estus charge. (There’s potentially another one in firelink shrine if you do the tree skip…)

Those two black goo guys are both guaranteed to drop a titanite shard the first time you kill them. (You need 2 for +1, 4 for +2, and 6 for +3, then you need large titanite, which you have to get past the boss for.) There’s also a dark axe around that Vordt doesn’t really like, and a claymore.

Also, when the dragon breathes fire and kills a bunch of guys, you get the souls for killing them, so you can kinda farm souls for a bit if you want.

Thank you! I’ll try this tomorrow

No problem! While I’ve only won Dark Souls 3 once, I’ve played through the first half or more of the game a lot, so I’ve gotten pretty familiar with it. How much trouble you have with Vordt can vary a fair amount depending on your build and playstyle, too…

Playing a CIA operative in COD BO6 Multiplayer. Loosing the match with the announcer saying stuff like ‘I expected better from you, CIA’, while listening to the CIA agent in Gallifrey - Weapon of Choice getting made by a local on Gryben. LOL
PS: This years COD is really good.

Recently started to play GTAV again since like… forever. And on my way to 100%.

I really should have given it more credit than just being the dumb action-movie game.
You can slow down quite a bit, and explore the world to find the wildest secrets. I should have known, because these people also made Red Dead Redemption 2…

Also a lot of funny anti-republican, anti-capitalist messaging that went right over my head at 14.

Playing a bit of Fallout Shelter. It’s a mobile vault building game, but I play it on Steam.
