So i listened to The Last Day and i’m left somewhat confused by the events that took place and the resolution. Anyone else?
Listened to the audio soundtrack version of part 3 of The Sensorites - Hidden Danger before starting on Toby Hadoke’s commentary podcast for the episode.
There is a lovely little interview at the end of the first ‘disc’ with William Russell which just made me a little sad he has left us.
Oooh - Primord is on Into the TARDIS and that’s the first one they’ve dropped that I don’t have. That’s next up on my listening for definite!
Trip home, another wrap up a Benny, listen to a Sarah Jane, start something else ride. This time The Dance of the Dead was followed by Ghost Town. The former reminded me of a certain Buffy episode, with the characters being inhabited by the spirits of the dead. Always nice to get some Ice Warriors in the mix. The latter messed with my head by not being set in the Old West. About 1/2 hour into the next selection, which is neither Benny nor Sarah, but hey, it was starting to get a little too predictable, right?
Finishing a disc/track/chapter of The Amur River, and then diving into Dark Gallifrey: War Master Part 1.
i just finished seasons of fear from EDA. been trying to make my way through the main range and i am slowly but surely doing it : D
I really enjoyed Seasons of Fear. I found the format of the drama intriguing.
The Victorian Age is pretty awful, isn’t it? I hope the other Torchwood audios with Queen Victoria are better
I just finished Sword of Orion, and I must say that episodes with Cyberman are not my favorite yet. Hope that will be great episodes too
Something Inside and Memory Lane. I’m doing artfight again this year which means I’m spending an additional 4-5 hours a day drawing. I expect to get through a lot of audios this month.
I haven’t listened to it, though reading the blurb threatened to trigger the kind of FOMO that kept me going with Big Finish long after I was no longer really hearing them when I was listening.
I know what you mean, though, as far as that feeling goes. In my case, it usually had to do with traffic distractions making me lose the plot and never managing to find it again. But a rather frustrating feeling no matter the root cause.
First episode of Primord on Into the TARDIS.
Not sure I’m quite settled into Jon Culshaw as the Brig and Daisy Ashford as Liz Shaw but I’m intrigued by a sequel to Inferno enough to keep going.
Finished another chapter of Amur River and now working on Loups-Garoux.
Yeah, that feeling of not getting what they are telling you kinda stains the finished project and frustrates you on what you are missing. There are instances that i get distracted in life’s inconveniences but in this case i just was lost by the plot and i don’t know if it was because i needed to listen more stuff to add more context or just because the script was messy.
HEX SPOILERS
just finished gods and monsters, did hex just fuckin die. what I was not paying enough attention
well on to afterlife
Short answer: yep lol
I just finished the Winter Quartet. They were okay. I was a bit tired of it by the end but I liked how it all got together in the end. My ranking of them:
- The Gods of Winter (3.5/5)
- The House of Winter (3.5/5)
- The Memory of Winter (3.5/5)
- The Sins of Winter (3/5)
Hopping about the Torchwood Main Range, done We Always Get Out Alive, Rhys and Ianto’s Excellent Barbecue, Coffee, and The Office of Never Was
All solid stories, would recommend a listen for any Torchwood fans
Noticed that on The Guide Office is known as The Office That Never Was, with an alternative cover that has that title, which I can’t seem to find any information about
The Trouble with Drax relisten. Drax tells the 4th Doctor that he’s always a better piolet??? He can’t genuinely think that, can he? I mean, EVERYONE knows how desperate the doctor is with flying the TARDIS?
