I should say “I am not worthy” but, in truth, I’m just beyond flattered to be lumped in with Rachel and Allison. So I’ll take it. Glady and with thanks. :star_struck:

Plus, I feel sure you would have much of value to contribute. We could turn our attention to aviation. You known I have academic links in that direction too.

I think I’m going to enjoy the Counter-Measures thread.

You may just rue the day! :squinting_face_with_tongue:

Why did we never have a Liv Chenka / Eight / Helen / Counter-Measures crossover?

I can dream, right?

I listened to my next MR: Night Thoughts. The blurb made it sound very eerie and tense, but the actual thing ended up being underwhelming.

You are so full of good ideas today - Helen is a contemporary of Rachel and Allison, imagine how wonderful the three of them together would be!!

For an International Women’s Day release we need Bambera meeting Rachel & Allison.

Finished Robophobia. That final episode was truly spectacular. A thrilling, space-opera ending with some really poignant and tragic moments too! And Liv is FANTASTIC.

I felt quite clever because I predicted who the murderer was as early as episode 1!

What I noticed about this one is even though it’s set on a spaceship in the far future all the characters feel very real. Liv’s emotional reactions are strong and raw (helped of course by Nicola Walker’s fantastic performance). But all the side characters feel like ordinary people who just happen to live in the future. That’s an unsung strength of Nick Briggs’ writing, I think.

Looking forward to House of Blue Fire, up next in the Black and White arc!

Finished Doctor of War 1. The Difference Office was my favourite of the 3 and I still thought it was pretty crap tbh. The Warrior isn’t even that much different from The Doctor for most of it - despite us constantly being told so - because he never actually gets to do anything this entire set. And it’s weird how each story has a timeskip from the previous so no cliffhangers are ever resolved??? What a baffling and miserable set.

Let’s move onto the Benny set with Narvin in it for a breath of fresh air I think

That’s a great box, even the two stories without Narv!
