The only one I’ve watched is Black Friday which a weird one but not unenjoyable. I keep meaning to try out some of the others.
The Guy Who Didn’t Like Musicals takes place before Black Friday, and I highly recommend it if a low-budget horror comedy musical is something you’d be interested in.
Watching Mother Redcap (an old Jonathan Creek) and Liv and Ancelyn have turned up in the cast!
I have so much to watch but need to find time to revisit this show, I hope it still holds up. Remember when people were talking about Alan Davies being Dr Who, it seemed to be based partly on the fact that he had curly hair!
It does hold up (although I have found I remember a lot of the solutions for the first couple of series). Liv is on a date with Jonathan now!!
& the actor who played Adam Klaus played President Nixon in The Impossible Astronaut & Day of the Moon.
It’s a fun revisit, even if not all of it holds up.
As Delta says too, loads of Who alumni in. Sixth, Fifth, Eighth and Fugitive Doctors as well as Vicki, Liv Chenka, Romana, Lucie Miller and loads more.
You’re right. Some of the ‘sexual’ stuff is decidely ‘un-PC’, not least all those scenes in the first series of men grabbing women’s boobs!
Yes, it’s much better if they paint the boobs instead like Colin did in his episode xD.
Was hoping to savour Poker Face S2 and spread it out in delicious delayed gratification. Nah, blitzed through the episodes available and now eagerly craving my fix.
The newest ep was daft even for this show but heck of a lot of fun still.
I’ve just a few more episodes to go on this Pokémon Horizons batch and I’m sad I’ll have to wait soon enough for more again The story is genuinely really strong and investing despite it being a Pokémon anime for kids, and I am loving it. And the show is just such good vibes it always leaves a huge smile on my face
We finally watched the final two episodes of Castle last night.
The finale was a bit of a damp squib. The reveal of the big bad Locksat was thoroughly underwhelming and then it went for a shock ending only to have a ‘nah, it’s fine’ instead. It was like the writers saw Trial of a Time Lord and thought what they did with Peri was a good model to follow!
It was a shame to read as well that part of the reason it never went to a ninth season was because Stana Katic left the show due, in part it seems, because Nathan Fillion and her were not getting on.
Is it possible for a show to finish production and premiere in the same year? If it matters, I’m thinking about a program that already has a number of seasons under its belt.
Yeah the finale was pretty poor. Sometimes I think shows shouldn’t try to wrap things up or go out with a bang. Sometimes it’s better to just finish like any other season, just in case they end up picking up again, as has happened to a number of shows after what seemed to be definite finales.
Apparently the poor relationship between the leads was well known. Not that I knew.
It depends on the show itself. Some take longer than others.
Yeah. This show said last year that they would premiere the new season in 2025, but they just finished production not too long ago and there’s still no talk of an air date (or any news/teasers). I’m hoping they have a quick turnaround. Last year another show (an indie production, so it’s a little different) claimed they were going to air at a certain time, but didn’t, and now they’ve virtually dropped off the face of the planet. I don’t know what’s going on there.
It really depends on the type of show. Some sitcoms air just a couple of weeks after recording. What show are you talking about?
Shakespeare and Hathaway, one of those cozy mystery shows.
I think they’ve had a fairly quick turnaround in past series. They used to finish filming around November and air in the following March.
That’s good to hear. I’ve never watched SaH before so I’m not familiar with its processes. The new season is supposed to have Colin for an episode, so I’m on the edge of my seat waiting for this show to air.
