TV Time - (but not Doctor Who)

Thank goodness for that!

I don’t know exactly how far “tv” goes in this topic, but I’ve been watching Star Trek Voyager recently. It’s my first contact with the franchise! I’m looking forward to October because my favorite franchise in life will gain a new audiovisual medium (Digimon Beatbreak)

It goes as far as you want it to go…but we do also have a dedicated Star Trek topic if you want to share your thoughts on Voyager.

'I think Star Trek has some concepts very close to Doctor Who, it would be interesting if we opened a topic for… wait, does it already exist???" Very good to know that! I will leave my comments as soon as I finish voyager

The original has 4 seasons so far. Not sure if this version adapts original episodes but plenty available if it does.

Did our usual 'let’s watch a 911 episode and end up watching three back to back. Lone Star series 5 starts strongly with a train wreck and toxic cloud! Looks like Gracie has jumped ship though.

(Carrying on this conversation in a relevant topic )

I love Crazy Ex-Girlfriend !!

I love any musical, and still can’t believe they managed to make a TV show for several seasons with original musical numbers every episode. It was amazing! And so funny.

Loads of the songs are in my “favourites” so I listen to them lots, and every now and then I watch the videos again as they are just so funny.

I also really identify with Rachel lol, and love the songs “The Darkness”, “You Stupid Bitch”, “The End of the Movie” and for some reason “Where’s the Bathroom” always cracks me up.

My husband and I love all the songs from the Santa Ana Winds episode and used to listen to them together on the way to work every day :joy:

This sounds fun. I have not seen it.

You should try it! It’s on Netflix here

There’s also this trailer which basically tells you the entire plot of the first episode lol:

This is on my list but I’ve never got around to it. I watched the first episode but never carried on. I need to see if my wife will try it out.

You should! It’s so good! I actually really feel like watching it all again, if only I had time

Well, we watched High Potential because people here recommended it and we both loved that, so I’ve got a good chance of it being given a go. We adored Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist (although we never seemed to get the final Christmas special in the UK :frowning: ) so this seems a little bit similar (I know it’s original songs though).

I really need to continue this. My hubby LOVES it but we’ve never managed to find the time, with it being a bit of a longer show

That reminds me, I meant to watch that but never did.

But yeah, the fact that Crazy Ex-Girlfriend is all original songs just makes it so great. Gonna put the songs on again now

The songs are extremely clever. All of them definitely fall into the showtunes category, but the writers definitely experimented with different genres.

This is one of the non-showtunes songs. My parents and I quote it all the time. Rachel Bloom has a stand-up special with songs on Netflix called Death, Let Me Do My Special, and I highly recommend it if you’re already a fan of CXG.

I’ve been comfort watching Burn Notice. I originally watched the first few seasons, but for whatever reason I stopped watching. I’d forgotten how much of a fun show it is. Bruce Campbell is a gem in it.

Me too! It’s an awesome show and I just wish I could persuade my wife to let us watch it through one more time…

Baybe’s 7. I love Vila lol; I’m glad he was in the box sets. I also really like the B7 theme and Avon. If I was more inclined to watch the series, he’d be my favorite.
