Also, another thing about these multimedia projects is they burn good titles on throwaway stories.
“Mission to the Known” is a great title.

Both of the crossover stories have been disappointments in different ways. TLV made it unclear how to follow the story and what was relevant at what wasn’t. And while Doomsday was clearer on that front, it made for a very dull and uninspiring story with a lead character no one took seriously. I read the couple first of stories and gave up because I had zero interest in continuing.

I feel if they can take the right lessons from Time Lord Victorious and Doom’s Day the next cross-media event could be someething really special

I loved it personally. A really epic glimpse at what would happen if the Tenth Doctor gave in to his Time Lord Victorious impulses.
Much better than Doom’s Day IMO.

The Waters of Mars

This is one of my favorite episodes and probably the best “Base under Siege” episode of Modern Who. I love the raw emotions of Ten and the character development that has led him to this low point in his life. All the guest characters are wonderful and complex. It is sad, emotional, and fun. Great episode. 5/5 and marked as a favorite.

Short Story
This one does not have a page on the TARDIS.guide but it is a fun and good one. I think that this would have been a better prologue to “The Knight, The Fool and The Dead” than the one that is in the book (started reading it yesterday). If you have not read it I would recommend reading it. 4/5

From what I remember about TLV my favourite element was the Kotturuh, i wish Big Finish had been giving more free reign with them than the Dalek Stories and Brian the Ood story.
The draw of TLV should have been the whole begening of death and 10, rather than what we got which lacked enough focus for it to be truely great. Some of the parts were really good, but nothing monumemtal like they hoped.

The Knight, The Fool and The Dead

Now we are really in the story of TLV. I thought that this was an interesting read and it was a great depicture of a desperate Tenth Doctor that don’t know how to handle death and other things that he can’t control. The ending got me really excited to read and listen to the other stuff to see what led to this. I give this a strong 3.5/5

My daughter woke up and I had to do something while I waited for her to fall asleep again. This was good and fun. It was a great story. It was a fun conversation between Ten and the strategist. It was also fun to read the parts with Thrteen, now I want to read their other crossovers but one project at a time… I rate this 4/5
