The road to 10,000 stories…

Made a new sheet with some new and upcoming stuff

Some of the stuff doesn’t have a final image but I think that it can be uploaded anyway.

@shauny I know that it has some mixed media but I did not want to have one sheet with one or two rows. Sorry about that.

It’s very rare to find stories that aren’t on the site nowadays, but my most obscure piece of Doctor Who merch has cracked it!

Pretty sure that’s just a selection of various annual stories - which are on the site

Admittedly the collectable itself probably isn’t, though.

Do you have a link to this on TARDIS Wiki I can see? Then I can add it.

Which is an audio version of this

The 1976 annual is here on tardis.guide, which is where half the stories on the audio version come from: The Dr Who Annual 1976 · TARDIS Guide

The Amazing World of… stories, that come from the (I kid you not) Typhoo Tea cross-brand promotional book from 1976 is as yet not on tardis.guide.

Ah, I didn’t realise it had the Typhoo stories. That’s cool.

My friend, who is in no way a Doctor Who fan, bought it for me. I then delighted in telling them the history behind this obscure piece of ephemera!

And I bet they really enjoyed that particular half hour lecture :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: my poor friends have to put up with so many of those from me

If people are looking for gaps in the database, the only relatively substantial ones I could find are the 70s TV Comic/TV Action comics (except the Ugrakks) and the New Who annuals except the first one.

The 70s comic are in the works - I’ve just not had the time to finish the spreadsheet  - I keep getting distracted arguing about who the best companion is…

Well, stop arguing and get working on those spreadsheets, we’ve been waiting for ages!

:laughing::wink:

What’s there to argue about, it’s obviously Valarie.
Recency bias? What recency bias?

Found another miscellaneous short story I don’t think is on the guide, “The Lonely Computer”.

This is one of the BBC website stories. I’m pretty sure they’re on the list - there’s quite a few Christmas themed ones.

Ah fair, I suppose if it’s on the wiki it’s probably on the to-do list by now.

I’ve wondered if there’s something more I should be doing on this road. A ways back I put some effort into updating the spread’s tabs for the Lethbridge-Stewart and Bernice Summerfield books. Not sure if there’s something else I should be doing with them. I assume they’re lower priority being spinoffs.

Most things left now are spin-offs!

Once I’m done on the new website design (getting there!) I’m going to spend some time organising what’s left and maybe delegate some more of it!

But feel free to jump into the spreadsheets and fill in anything you can! Thanks!

Missing minisodes klaxon :boom:

I can’t see the cinematic introduction for The Day of the Doctor or the prequel to Deep Breath.

So in looking at the history of Queen Victoria for my Torchwood Timeline, I came across the Newbury & Hobbes series

There’s a few stories with minor Doctor Who characters, but it debuted without any characters so it’s not technically considered part of the DW Universe

Would we add all of the series to the guide (like how it includes Cyberon even though there’s no DW connections in it), or just have the crossovers (like the Marvel crossovers)

If it helps the author always viewed them as being part of the DW Universe
