Yes, absolutely! Such a Doctor Who style creature. This really should have been the main plot of the two parter because… Shadowkin just aren’t upto it. Upstaged by blossom. Love those plants! Did they come from the planet of the Krynoids?
The Lost
Oh great more Shadowkin.
I didn’t like most of this episode. It was all just really sad and a lot of standing around saying what they should do and not much action.
What was the point of teaching Tanya to fight when they had like 5 minutes?
There was no real choice at the end but to do what Charlie did so it wasn’t much of a difficult decision.
But the bit where the cabinet was opened was pretty epic. The music! The special effects! I really liked that.
The surprise cameo from the Weeping Angels was fun but just confused me more than anything. I have no idea what their plan was for series 2.
And also April has swapped bodies with the Shadowkin king? thanks, I hate it. I’m so glad we didn’t get a series of that, NGL.
I was fully expecting a reset to bring back to dead parents but they didn’t. Bold choice. Series 2 would have been laugh-a-minute! Especially for Ram who has now witnessed 2 deaths of people he cared about!
Ok as sad as I am that we don’t see any more of Miss Quill I think I’m actually glad they cancelled this show
If you’re wanting to jump into expanded media, know that none of it (at least not the audio stories) have The Shadowkin in them!
I actually started this by listening to Gifted last night. It wasn’t great imo.
Yeahhhh, most of them are very much ‘meh’, but at least no shadowkin
I think it might have fared better if it hadn’t been attached to Doctor Who. Linking it brought a lot of expectation and I feel it would have done better judged on itself alone. Torchwood and The Sarah Jane Adventures had direct character links, whereas Class was simply part of the same universe.
Exactly!
Any chance of getting a set for the Class novels?
Here it is! (No image for it yet)
Thank you!!!
God, the Shadow Kin looks great when they’re more CG than costume
Nah. It still looks great.
I think they look blad, generic, and kinda cheap as costumes, but I also think the CGI in Class isn’t generally good enough to support that kind of design often. It’s really surprising how poor the CGI is, considering how good it looked at that point on Doctor Who.
I imagine the BBC3 didn’t have that much budget (in fact the channel was shut down just before it aired Class, and so was streaming-only on iPlayer).
It was doomed from the start really
The Coach with the Dragon Tattoo is a lot better than I remember, the main plot isn’t great, and Quill’s side of things is also unfortunately meh, but the character side of things for Tanya, Ram, and Ram’s dad is great
