I liked The Creeper in the third Class set, the Halloween party stuff is good.
NIGHTVISITING WAS ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!!
LOVE this one!!
I once did a timeline watch/listen of Class where I did the tv eps and the BF eps where they’re supposed to go, was really cool!
I watched Co-Owner of a Lonely Heart today and…I have mixed feelings about it
Yeah… I like elements of it but there’s some stuff I didn’t care for (most of it I fear). The BF stories really help bridge the gap and show the growth of some of the relationships!
Oh she’s the best I love her so much!! She’s got some fantastic audios, I really hope we get more someday
Miss Quill is fantastic, she gives me S10 Missy vibes, she’s still very clearly a morally questionable person, but she’s on the good guys side for now. Also, she is just incredibly funny.
She really is
I can’t really care about romantic relationships in Class yet I don’t know if this will change after listening audios but right now I just can’t care about it
I like one of them purely for representation but its cute, and another you’ve yet to see. The audios do help to develop them all further which is great!
Watching Co-Owner of a Lonely Heart right now.
This show is very strange tone-wise.
Started watching class. My review for the first episode Review of For Tonight We Might Die by Goibniu · TARDIS Guide.
Something I’m curious about—being from Germany, I don’t really have any idea about the UK school system: How old are the students supposed to be?
(And, yeah, I noticed the scene at the beginning. )
The forum tells me I can’t post because this text is too similar to another one of mine—originally posted in the wrong thread. Trying to see if adding this text at the end is enough to deceive the almighty forum AI
A lot of ‘students’ in TV land are often obviously older than they are supposed to be but I think the ones in Class are supposed to be around 17/18 and in the Sixth Form (which is A levels - the next ‘grade’ of exams above GCSEs which children take at 16.). Tanya is younger and supposed to be a prodigy who skipped years to enter Sixth Form early (this rarely happens in real life and we don’t even keep children down a year any more except in extreme circumstances).
The school did not look like any school I went to… the individual desks was so American and the blackboard what!?
Thank you very much! This really helps me contextualize the story better.
With this information, I was able to figure out that it’s similar to “12./13. Klasse Oberstufe Gymnasium”. However, it seems we teach not quite the same content for our A-Level equivalent, the ‘Abitur.’ Interesting.
Watched the second episode of Class and wrote a spoiler-free review: Review of The Coach with the Dragon Tattoo by Goibniu · TARDIS Guide
Thanks, by the way, @deltaandthebannermen! When they mentioned Ofsted, I immediately knew what they were talking about, thanks to a comment you made a while back in the ‘Made My Day’ thread. I was able to enjoy the joke one-liners, which would have gone over my head otherwise. My personal enlightenment through the TARDIS guide is making good progress.
Watched the third episode of Class, enjoyed it, and wrote a spoiler-free review (well, a few words are blurred, just in case):
While watching the first few episodes, I realized that I had actually seen at least the beginning of the series once before. But it left so little impression on me that, when I started watching again, I didn’t remember it at all.
It goes to show that our perception of art is always inseparably interwoven with the beholder. The show didn’t change—I did. Whereas in the past the episodes didn’t impress me in the slightest, this time around I find so many memorable aspects.
Watched the fourth episode of Class —and as a whole, it didn’t really work for me. There were some very strong story beats and standout performances from the main cast, though, which is why I’m still at a 3/5.
A short, mostly spoiler-free review with one blurred sentence, just to make sure nothing gets spoiled:
The end is nigh. Watched the fifth episode, “Brave-ish Heart”. What a rollercoaster! At times, I thought, “2.5 or worse”; at other times, I was like, “Wow, brilliant!”
A little bit more in detail, spoiler-free:
