In my mind, the fam had learnt she was going on adventures without them while they were asleep, and told her to stop. This is then a few nights into that promise not to go on adventures without them, and as you can see she is already considering breaking that promise. That context is not really part of the story(and I only decided that was the context most of the way through writing it), so I didn’t really include it.
Here is my story for day 16. I am not trying to get any particular bingo at this stage, but just writing stories for whatever prompts I have ideas for. Today that is sunset, which I had the core idea of yesterday, but didn’t feel like writing at that point.
Day 16- Sunset
Humans are a sunset. They are special and unique, there and gone. They are so, so bright and beautiful, but once they are gone all that is left is darkness. Another day and another sunset will come, but the previous sunset is gone, and will never be seen again.
Timelord lives are years. Long and slow, full of hundreds of sunrises, sunsets, days and nights, such that they all blend together. You can love a day, and treasure it, but you cannot stop the night from coming, and you cannot bring it back. All you can do is remember, and treasure the memories.
Immortality is a gift and a curse. You get to see so many sunsets, all unique, all beautiful. But you also have to endure just as many nights, and the sunsets start to look brief and fleeting, instead of filling your world.
Humans lives are sunsets. And the fact they are gone doesn’t make them any less beautiful.
This is meant to be the musing of the doctor after they have lost someone. I have kept it intentionally vague as to which doctor it is, but in my head it is probably 12(though my brain also put bits of 10 and 13 in there, with a tiny pinch of 11 and 15).
I liked how you used the prompt. Very nice work
Day 16 and I’ve managed my third bingo.
A fun story with the Ponds. Very nicely written
Such impact in so few words! Great job!
Benton and the car are so sweet
and YAY Liz and Kate afterwards, a banger combination!
You always give such a strong and in character voice to the characters, and it works so well with characters like 10 and Donna. I adore reading your work!
A great little character stufy of 13, this worked so well and was hilarious
Short but very moving and poetic. Good stuff!
PONDS <3 Awesome work!
Another moving piece, a really nice reflection and character study here
waaaa… rip out my heart why don’t you… brilliant!
Thank you to everyone who’s left nice comments about my work while i’ve been away. I think as of today i’ll be able to do another prompt; I had to step away for a bit because of uni. I can’t wait to read what everyone has wrote while i’ve been gone.
Oh, that hurt but in a nice way. Fifteen and The Brigadier wasn’t a combination I thought of but it was very good!!!
When I saw that “coffee with friends” prompt, I assumed it was “Coffee (Torchwood Monthly Range) with Friends (American sitcom TV show)”, and immediately started trying to fit Friends characters into the Torchwood audio Coffee in my head, right down to picturing Gunther as David.
Probably not going to do anything with it, but I did assign a TV Torchwood member to each Friend. (Got a little stuck with Rex though.) So if anybody wants the idea, or to ask me who I picked, please take this and / or ask.

Day 19

Both the stories were awesome. I loved Yaz’s cosy fantasy of life with the Doctor and Nardole and Missy are such a fun combination. Both stories were fantastic to read, although one made me sad and the other made me laugh.
Day 20: I Got You
Congratulations. Some UNIT troops that I’m not familiar with in this one, but I like the way you make fighting vampires sound run of the mill.
A lovely bit of musing here and I like the metaphor of sunsets and years.
What a lovely glimpse into the Doctor’s thinking just after Jo left. Very sweet.
Isobel! You write her so well.
Oh the little difficulties that arose behind the scenes at UNIT! So trying for the Brigadier. I’m sure he’d prefer to be fighting aliens.
Oh, to try and tell Tegan she doesn’t know how the world works. Nice work!
