Day 11 and another Bingo for me.
I’m not at all bright this morning, but I managed to force this one out of me.
Day 11 and another Bingo for me.
I’m not at all bright this morning, but I managed to force this one out of me.
I absolutely loved this. I actually was writing the ‘wheels’ theme today with Bessie too, so I hope you like it! But I adored it!!! Excellent work.
Hope you feel better soon. I love this and think it was wonderful. I feel for poor Bessie too…
Here’s Day 11 from me.
Day 11: That’s What You Get (Paramore)

I adore Martha and Jack’s friendship. I like that they stayed friends. Very nicely written.
Day 10 (and 11 right after)
Day 12
This is my first day joining in this, as I have been offline. This story is probably not my best work, and isn’t quite what I had intended, but it’s what I could do.
Why did humans have to sleep so very much, and for so long? There was no-one to talk to, and the fam would be disappointed if they learnt the Doctor went on an adventure without them.
These were the thoughts going through the Doctor’s mind as her friends slept. Needless to say, she was bored. She had already considered landing the TARDIS somewhere she knew would have something going on 1312 times, making this the 1313th. She had tried to distract herself by doing routine maintenance on the TARDIS, but there are only so many times you can work on the wiring for the console room in the span of several hours before that too starts to get boring, and she didn’t dare work anywhere else in case she made a mistake and ended up with belligerent humans complaining about lost sleep. Humans really did need a lot of sleep. The human members of the TARDIS’ current crew had been asleep for four hours already, and would be asleep for at least that much again. Did we mention the Doctor was bored? Like, really bored. Well, she decided, desperate times call for desperate measures. It was time to try to go through one of the storage rooms. It may be incredibly depressing, and remind her of all the friends she had lost, but it was still better than the sheer mind numbing boredom she was feeling now.
One-and-a-half hours later, she had given up on that too, and parked the TARDIS in a park to practice her soccer skills. This regeneration was not as good at soccer as her eleventh had been, but she refused to let that stop her.
An hour after that, she was back in the TARDIS, and tending to one of its internal gardens.
2 hours after that, she had done everything she possibly could in the garden, some things several times(she really hoped that the extra water didn’t kill her rose bushes), and was really starting to wonder how humans survived when they needed so much sleep. It was at this point she decided to check the time, and realised her fam had been asleep for 8.5 hours. She recalled learning that humans generally got about 8 hours of sleep a night, and decided to check if her friends were awake.
They weren’t… at least not until the Doctor woke them up by checking on them. At least she wasn’t bored anymore.
Day 13
Aww, and Ian and Barbara story. I love them so much, and I definitely agree that it would be Ian who is like ‘are we just hanging out or are we together?’
Here is one for Folklore. I couldn’t come up with an ending but I tried to make it finish ok
People traditionally put horseshoes on their door to ward off elves or other evil things. Now it seemed Sarah Jane was finding out why. It turns out the “fairies” of myths were inspired by a real thing.
Traditionally fairies(of which elves were considered a type, and by far the most prevalent) were often described as ethereally beautiful, humanoid creatures that ranged from actively malevolent/murderous to tricksters that loved to play pranks(though they were still not completely harmless). Some stole babies, and kidnapped people, others cast enchantments and killed those. More still tricked people and ruined their lives. Traditionally, even the nicest fairies will not give you anything without demanding something worth several times more.
Sarah Jane was now wishing she hadn’t disbelieved those old stories as impossible fictions from a more fanciful time. The Feigan were obviously the inspiration for those old myths. Like humans, they ranged from downright murderous to moderately nice, but they didn’t typically have any truly kind members, and due to being more physically resilient they often overestimated humans’ ability to withstand things like being kicked by a horse, which meant their “pranks” could lead to significant injury. And they were allergic to iron. That was what confirmed it. But now, Sarah Jane had to find a way to deal with them. They had developed a grudge against her, after what they interpreted as an affront to them, though fortunately the kids were spared that resentment. She had tried to get a horseshoe to put over the door, but it would take at least 2 days, and until then she needed to hold out. While she put iron near every door and window in 13 Bannerman Road, and lined the windowsills with salt(she had less knowledge about whether it works than iron, but it is mentioned in some stories) she set Mr. Smith researching both factual texts about the Feigan and old stories about fairies for anything that might help.
Eventually it got resolved, but how that happened is a long and complex story for another day.
I promise I’ll try to catch up with reading soon. I’ve fallen a few days behind on it.
Day 14
@TimeyWimeyStuff I loved your work with Sarah Jane. It was a great read
@Mindfog ohhh, a River and Eleven short. That was fun to read!
Day 14 with Anne and Bill
Day 15
I’ve got to catch up with my reading. Sorry I’ve fallen so far behind.
Oh this is so dark. It really reflects the situation at the end of Children of Earth. Sad.
So succinct. You really capture the feelings so well. Great work.
This is gorgeous. I love that she ended up in Sergeant Benton’s care. Who better to look after the old yellow roadster?
A lovely slice of nostalgia with the Sarah Jane Adventures crew. It was nice to see K-9 meeting Brendan again.
You captured the kind of frustrated energy in the Thirteenth Doctor well. Is this how she is every night?
It’s good to see Jack interacting with the classic UNIT family.
Poor Sarah Jane. I hope she managed to get hold of a horse shoe eventually.
Aww Anne Travers and Bill Filer is a lovely 'ship!
OK I think I’m caught up (for now)
Aww, that was so cute! Just Jo and Three exploring the library. I love it so much!

Day 15, which I think is the third BINGO
