It’s been mentioned on Gallifrey Base too - apparently it’s BBC4 and the slot is 75 minutes so not a long story if it is. Someone suggested that maybe its the next colourised cutdown and that it’s been brought forward because of William Russell’s passing. Something like the 20th June.

My bet is either on a fourth doctor story or one with Mel.
The former because we didn’t had any Tales one with him, so maybe? The latter because it would fit the bill of the runtime, but that’s just my guess

I think this will this will tie into this season in some way. Otherwise, the timing feels strange. Mel could be the answer but I think that it will be more connected than that.

I believe RTD said last year they were already working on a new colorization, depending on it, they very well might be almost finished with it (then again I don’t know when they started that one, if it was started even before the Dalek one came out or not)
I still think it might be a cut down than a colorization, if it’s not mel-related (honestly the only big reason I am guessing it could be something related to her is the rather short runtime for this)

I do think that this does not matter. Say that Rubys’ mom is Susan or someone like that and this is revealed at the end of episode 7. You don’t have to watch a classic episode with that character to understand episode eight but it might be fun to do so.
