Spoilers of course in this nice little doc. The artistry & skill in these sets is
I just watched Barbarian and that was one of the best modern horror movies I’ve ever seen.
I really recommend it, but if you go in knowing as little as possible it has the best impact. It was totally not what I was expecting!!
Love this one! & was also fortunate to go into it knowing very little.
Intrigued - where is this one available?
(a good website/app to check film availability)
So nowhere I pay for… ah well.
Brilliant film. Went into it blind and had a great time.
A little gross though.
Yeah I think you definitely have to go in blind. Luckily my friend didn’t tell me anything about it.
But yeah super gross
A double bill, Waxwork & Waxwork II: Lost in Time. Silly fun horror/fantasy that homages lots of old horror movies. The sequel is a bit dull, the homages are far too lengthy but has a couple good scenes.
watched part 2 of the RLM Puppet Master video?
It’s in the queue.
Just finished the Thai horror film Shutter.
That is a movie worth watching for the final few minutes alone.
Not exactly scary but definitely Halloween-themed, I just watched ParaNorman for the first time and it was wonderful! 4/5
I watched Rosemary’s Baby and wow that was incredible.
The worst person in the whole movie was not Roman or his wife or the evil doctor, but the husband who gaslit his wife just for a career boost!
Today I watched The Black Tower (1987), an extremely haunting short film about (on the surface) an omnipresent black tower. Loved this one!
Several decades late, I finally got around to watching The Amityville Horror. Alas, the film proved to be something of a disappointment. The plot is meandering and the acting variable (poor old Rod Steiger seems to be in an entirely different movie to everyone else).
It’s possible that The Amityville Horror just hasn’t aged well, but I honestly don’t believe I would have been chilled by it back in 1979. I’m afraid that this spooky ‘classic’ failed to live up to its reputation.
Another spooky sunday watchalong. This time Arachnophobia. Still as much fun as I remember.
Oh I love that film - PG but scary as ■■■■! I’ve never actually watched it since it was that bad!
yes it lives up to its name.
