Some details in DWM/SFX regarding upcoming Jodie/Yaz audios: Firstly it’s (obviously) set between Series 12 and 13. There is a Henry II story called ‘The Lioness of Winter’, the first story is called Vampire Weekend, and there will be a recurring villain known as ‘The Tourist.’
Based on this, it seems Doctor Who and the Silurians is getting colour restoration, basically indicating it’s being worked upon and so it’s reasonable to say it’ll be an upcoming Collection set.
Two new Fifteenth Doctor Audio Originals are announced: On Ghost Beach (read by Susan Twist; aka….just a lot of people) and Sting of the Sasquatch (read by Genisis Lynea; aka Harbinger) are announced.

What CD’s are Out of Print This Week?:: The Lost Stories: 3.8 The Rosemariners;
Not much but Nick acknowledges that people complaining about the complainers are wrong. The BF Website launch was stuffed up, and everyone complaining is justified in their complaints, and Nick is very apologetic.
Big Finish Release Date Schedule: Dark Gallifrey: The War Master Pt. 2 - 23/08/2024 Susan’s War: Family Ties - 28/08/2024 The Sixth Doctor Adventures: Trials of the Timelord - 30/08/2024
What Big Finish I was listening too today: -
Random Tangents: Nick had some time off for holidays, Benji had a few weddings to attend.
Nick emphasises with people complaining about the website/app technical issues, especially for those with large libraries. He states, based off what technical jargon he can understand, that one of the biggest issues is people who are trying to download their whole library of content all at once, which puts strain on the systems. And he apologises again.
An edit of the live recording of The Stuff of Legends is in production with Barnaby Edwards going through all four performances and picking the best version of each scenes.
Despite how difficult it was to pull off, BF are looking at doing another live show.
Doctor Who: House of Plastic Audio Original has been announced. Written by Mike Tucker, narrated by Terry Molloy and featuring the Seventh Doctor, Ace, and Autons!
Two Scarifyers audiobooks, previously only available on Bafflegab, will be released on Friday. A Dinner Date with Death & An American Werewolf in Ludlow.
NON-BIG FINISH PODCAST DOCTOR WHO NEWS:
A new range of audio novels is announced, starting off with The Lord of Misrule, narrated by Jon Culshaw and featuring the 4th Doctor, Romana One & Jago and Litefoot!
Details on the next Fourth Doctor Adventures set is out. The Hellwood Inheritance featuring the Fourth Doctor and Leela (and recorded long ago in lockdown).
Lee binding has posted this colour scheme for the cover art of the next Collection boxset and states it is based off of a pivotal moment of episode 4 of the serial. Thoughts? Caves of Androzani regeneration?
From DWM, the audiobook of The Celestial Toymaker (read by Peter Purves) is coming out in April. (Also the last First Doctor novelisation to be read outside of An Unearthly Child and with that one……)?
A bundle for the Doctor Who Icon audiobook range is listed.
Doctor Who Target Novelisation - New Era 4 is listed, indicating we are once again 4 novelisations of the Ncuti Era (presumably Joy to the World and three other stories).
What Big Finish I was listening too today: Older eps of ‘Mish & Zach’s Leguizarmarama.’
Random Tangents: In a week it will be 10 years since Tim Treloar did his first recording as the Third Doctor. (Which made me realise that it will be 4 months before I first listened to Big Finish). Also The Havocs of Empire is still one of the best 3DA’s in my opinion (keeping in mind I’m a bit behind over the last couple years of BF).
A lot of people on X are saying Season 7: purple and white for Spearhead in Space, orange and red for Inferno and green for The Silurians.
I’ve also seen speculation on Season 13, with orange for the Zygons and green for the Krynoids.
But Season 21 looks very likely as well, considering that one moment in Part 4 of The Caves of Androzani. On the other hand, we’ve just had an '80s season, so they might want to do a '70s season next.
No! It’s obviously Season 4! These are the colours originally intended for The War Games, but we’ve never seen them because the season is in black and white!
Random Tangents: Benji bought Death to the Daleks on VHS on eBay. Nick chooses covers like ‘The Second Doctor Adventures’ because he wants to invoke emotions over montages of what’s in the story.
The Paul Spragg Short Trip story is announced: War Stories featuring the 12th Doctor and Bill Potts……(okay I thought the rule was that it would only involve stories featuring Doctors’ that haven’t been used yet or am I confusing myself….but also the first BF Bill story so I’m conflicted).
Fifteen Minute Drama Tease:The Seventh Doctor Adventures: Carnacki.
Interview/Production Interviews: The Seventh Doctor Adventures: Carnacki.
Randomoid Selectotron: BUCKUP: Charlotte Pollard: Series 1.
What BF CD’s are OOP: -
What Big Finish I was listening too today: Just lo-fi covers tbh.
Random Tangents: Discussion on Philip Hinchcliff, the lack of Daleks in Genesis of the Daleks, the musical stylings of Carey Blyton, and the diminishing returns of Davros. There’s a breakdown of the different roles of a typical BF Production.
Last year they noticed that they hadn’t yet repeated a Doctor, so they limited submissions to Doctors that hadn’t been featured yet. This year the brief was “Time War” so a bit different on the possibilities.
