Hi there! First time making my own topic so I hope it’s in the right place and everything
I was curious about the series images seen when viewing individual episodes because they seemed a bit inconsistent? It’s not really a super important thing but I feel quite nitpicky with things like this aha.
For instance:
Series 1, 7 and 8 episodes show an image featuring the Whittaker logo with “SERIES [number]” underneath
Series 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 10, and 12 show a small grey version of the Pertwee/McGann logo with “The Complete [number] Series” underneath
Series 9 features no text or logo
Series 11 & 13, Season 1 & 2 (2024/5) feature their logos alone (with 13 featuring the “Flux” underneath)
The Specials feature a much larger 1996 logo with “Specials” written underneath
There’s also the case of some of these having the BBC logo in the corner, presumably because I believe they’re taken directly from the DVD/Blu-ray covers.
My question is are there any plans to standardise these images? Not only in terms of the image but maybe also the dimensions as I’ve noticed a change in size occasionally (such as going from “Specials” to “60th Anniversary” to “Season 1”).

What about using the steelbook cover arts? They’re fab! Could try get decent resolutions for you.

Had a look, I’ve been able to find a bunch of Sophie Cowdry’s ones, she posted them on some site I’ve never heard of, but not all of them. Its annoying as they tend to only do full renders rather than a full on portrait. I’ve got a reasonable amount of them already, I’m sure we could find the rest if we wanted to go down that route!

I’m use Photoshop a lot so I’d be happy to check image sizes, make small edits or add text if we still want any Not only with NuWho ones, I haven’t checked all the Classic Who images but if there’s room to standardise those too I’d love to contribute.
Thinking about it, I imagine NuWho can have the steelbooks and Classic Who would have the Blu-ray Collection artworks (the ones we have so far). So naturally there’d be a few odd ones out until they release.
I suppose it could be put to a little vote as to whether to leave them clear or apply a logo and season subtitle to them, this time maintaining a single chosen logo across all of them
May have gotten slightly carried away. But I ended up doing all of them while watching an episode in the background. I also made a mock of what it would look like with text and without on the website (sidenote: I could not find a proper version of the Series 12 art, only ones that were tilted slightly. Tried my best to straighten it out)
All of New Who (including specials) bar Season 2 have a steelbook cover so they’re all good. Classic wise, Collections will come so it’ll be a case of updating when they’re available I’d say!
Until we get their collections, I was imagining choosing a photo from an episode of that season that fits. Or another image from a related DVD which I could edit to fit
