I think I’m finding my way around here organically rather than logically, so I am late in posting a ‘hello’ thread.
I was the boy who went into town with his pocket money to see what new choices of Target books were in the local shop. I always tried to find a companion or Doctor’s first or last stories (I don’t know why) and then filled in the gaps.
I found out about this site through attending “The Stuff of Legend” (a birthday present from my husband).
My time for stuff like this ebbs and flows so, if i go quiet, it only means life has gotten busy.
Welcome! Good to have you here!
Welcome to the forum!!!
A warm welcome to you and hope you find your palce among us! Feel free to contribute as much or as little as you feel comfortable with, there’s nothing wrong with just lurking about
Welcome! Hope you have fun here!
Welcome to the forum @WeAreInACar - great to have you here. I hope your husband always gets you lovely Doctor Who themed gifts.
Welcome! Great to have you here!!
Welcome, nice to see you here, it may have been me who gave you a leaflet, or could have been @JayPea or @15thDoctor!
Enjoy!
I wish I’d been paying more attention. I was focused on getting in!
Me too! That, and the library where I could scour the shelves for those lovely hard cover copies. Happy days!
Anyway, welcome! I’m sure you’ll find this to be a friendly, welcoming and enthusiastic group. Lots of differing opinions, but it never gets personal, judgemental or unpleasant. I don’t think you’ll find a better DW community out there!
Any questions, don’t hesitate to ask!
Many thanks
Welcome to the forum! I love your username.
I suspect it was @JayPea who handed you your leaflet. They handed out far more than me!!
Welcome to the forum!
Welcome to our lovely community!
Hi, I found your site by searching for anyone that reads online comics via mobile devices…
I can honestly say I have viewed every episode of DW since the first, 1963, yes I’m that old. Always been a fan and continue to watch episodes over and over again.
Whilst retired, I still illustrate and create online content, hence the R&D research with interactive comics.
Welcome @apropos360 ! Good to have you here
Absolutely totally know what that’s like!
Waves of nostalgia about going into actual bookstores and seeing what Who books might be around, whether it be Targets, or the early non-fiction releases, or the time I ran into those two Telos novellas that were reissued in paperback…I miss that joy of discovery.
Welcome to the Forum!
I know what you mean. After I posted this I started reflecting on how excited I’d be and how much joy I got from the trips and reading the books. Now, there is so much more content and variety, but my childhood wonder doesn’t get triggered in the same way.
Thanks for your welcome.
