Do we have an eye roll react?
That’s crazy we are on the exact same frequency on this. 10/10 list, no notes.
Here they go again
Where’s my Thirteen???
This made me less cross because it’s all the usual suspects, but the choice to split two-parters seemed a little strange to me. They’re all one thing in my head, separating them seems pointless
I’m sorry, but this just feels like ‘RTD1 is peak, nothing else really matters (but Moffat has some good eps I guess)’
All the top 5 are Moffat stories, and 10 out of 20 are Moffat-penned.
In what world is Doomsday the 5th best NuWho episode?
And at least give 13 some respect!
Even just throwing in something like Haunting of Villa Diodati, Fugitive of the Judoon, or Power of the Doctor just being plonked on to the bottom of the list would be enough! [1]
Well, it wouldn’t be enough, but you know what I mean ↩︎
In the world of people who never got over Moffat taking over because he was the worst obviously and RTD has been the only good showrunner of new who obviously
(not at all what i think, but you know exactly the type of person I mean)
The fact that the most recent episode on that list is from 2017 (you know, 8 years ago (and 13/20 are from RTD1)), is certainly interesting. As is the fact that the list comes from an anonymous “panel of experts”
why is girl in fireplace there, all due respect that episode is ok at best.
Ehhhhh, while I agree it’s certainly the weakest of the Moffat non-showrunner episodes, it’s still a fantastic episode with a unique premise.
My totally believable crackpot theory is that the author really didn’t want to let Hell Bent in first place .
Much a more Standard Ranking List. Splitting up the Two Parters is a bit stupid when most ended up on there anways like @sircarolyn said.
A bit sad about the Dominance from RTD1 too. A bit sad that there isn’t at least one of 13’s Episode too, like I don’t think it’s mandatory but I think Demons of the Punjab has a much bigger Claim for the Top 20 than Girl in the Fireplace
But why? It’s great!! ):<
Overall the List is okay, but feels like a lot of safe Choices, which mind you is fine, there are just some Things which I wish was done differently.
Oh, isn’t that nice, Moffat tweeted about the article, I like to believe he’s actually proud of his work.
I do think he is actually proud of his work, despite his self-deprecating sense of humor.
