A place to post all the Doctor Who art I do!
Starting off with some drawings I finished this afternoon, Helen Sinclair in 1960s clothing because I don’t like how she looks on BF covers. Here you go @sircarolyn and @realdoctor!
HELENNNN I LOVE HERRRR RAAAGGHGDGSGHGGSHSHSHGSGSH
These are superb. Any chance of doing Constance not looking like Miranda Raison popping out for lunch with the girls?
Thank you!!
I don’t actually know Constance, but if I had some references of what she looks like and what she ‘should’ be wearing, I’d be happy to!
Those are incredible! How do you that with the autonomy?!?!
I am truly in awe of it! Great stuff! ![]()
Oh your art is stunning!!!
Fantstic work @ProfessorSummerfield! Genuinely helpful too! That’s Helen! I can see her! i know that sounds daft, but it’s long been an issue for me. Curse my mental lock onto the obviously inaccurate Big finish covers! These will help me to rewrite my mental image… as she should be!
Love this community! This is what fandom should be like. ![]()
It doesn’t sound daft at all! I’m so happy it’s been helpful for you, and it was honestly helpful for me too, to draw this, because now I have a more accurate picture of her in my mind as well.
Absolutely! I’m very glad that this community is where I first properly got into fandom because it is lovely!
So Constance is a Wren from the 1940s working at Bletchley Park. Here she is on the cover of her first story: Criss Cross
That’s the only time she ever looks vaguely like she’s dressing as a pretty prim and proper person from the 1940s though:
I get that she wouldn’t dress as a Wren the whole time but I also doesn’t seem right that she’d skip straight to modern dress bearing in mind the sort of character she is.
Connie and Helen are two characters that just WOULD NOT wear jeans and a tshirt! They wouldn’t!! Like sure they might not go all out ‘vintage’ as they travel but like they would dress ‘properly’ still. I can’t see either of them ever truly being comfortable with our modern day casual
I’ll have a go a drawing something! I like researching historical clothing, so I imagine I’ll have fun ![]()
Oh I love this so much!!
These are all so good!!!

Anticipation for the marathon is high! I love her…
Absolutely marvellous @ProfessorSummerfield. I particularly like the second one.
Thank you, I’m glad you like them!
These are really good
! Although I’m partial to the third one; she looks very smart.
Connie!!! I love herrrrr ![]()
