A month or so ago I made THIS THREAD, asking people to pitch monster spin-offs (like Zygon Century or Dalek Empire), but explicitly didn’t include single villain focused spin-offs.
So, here’s that!
If you could create a spin-off series focused on a single villainous character (like I, Davros, the various Master spin-offs, etc), who would you want to focus on, what ‘vibe’ would the stories have, and what stories would you want to tell!?
Oooooh I love this idea. There’s so many villains I would love to hear back that either haven’t had many stories, or haven’t yet had a BF spin-off!
I think Maestro would be a really cool choice, lots of potential there with them as the main character. You could explore their backstory, create more lore surrounding them, and even encounter the Toymaker!
Alex Macqueen Master set please! Make it as camp and over the top as possible!
Also would love a set with Parker’s young Master either pre leaving or immediately post leaving Gallifrey, where he keeps trying to do good in a pragmatic way, and is being forced slowly but surely to get more and more cruel and harmful to get results…
Or give Beavers the set he’s deserved for literal decades now, and tonally I guess just make it feel very late 70s? I’m not sure what they’d do with it, I just know he’s very well earned it

There’s a few Masters that deserve a series (John Simm?).
If I’m doing a Master series, there’s an idea I’ve had for a while, that I’ve been calling The Fifth Master. Basically, when we first meet Delgado, he’s already on his 13th life. I think an exploration of who they are post-gallifrey, but pre-doctor, could be interesting. I especially love the idea of the firsr boxset being a 3-part murder mystery format, where there’s several suspects, but audience doesn’t know which one is the Master.
My other temptation is a “historical drama” about the rise of Rassilon or Morbius.
Surprised no-one’s put forward a Rufus Hound lead Monk series
Give us The War Monk starring Matt Berry where it’s just The Monk trying his best to survive the time war

I think the canon (insofar as ‘canon’ means anything) explanation for the Monk’s role in the time war is that he ran away to earth and hid as a monk, but he probably did a bit before that, right?
Some obvious Candidates have been already suggested (seriously, all I want from new Master Ranges would be one for MacQueen and Beevers, both deserve at least a Set!!)
On another Note, I really like @NyssaUnbound’s Idea about a ‘Historical Drama’ about either Rassilon or Morbius, you could even make some about Characters such as Omega (if the Rights allow it) or even branch out to other Figures beyond Gallifrey (would love to see what they could do for the Great Intelligence, even if I would hope they leave some Bits to the Imaginary and don’t explain everything in terms of Backstories). Could even do 3 Box Sets for each Character (therefore having a small Arc for each)!
