Once More WIth Feeling is phenomenally good (when it really could have been awful) and the recent Strange New Worlds one had three of the songs go straight on to my playlist. I thought it was sublime.
Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist is amazing too. I never got around to My Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and now its disappeared from Netflix in the UK annoyingly.

I’m out of the age range for High School Musical, but I love it dearly. I have many songs from that saved in my music player.

I’ve tried High School Musical, the Musical, the TV Show (or whatever its called) and its…okay. I like Born to be Brave but nothing else set me on fire and I never even finished the first season.
It did feel like a worse version of Glee (and that’s the best, although I did enjoy it at the time).

I’ve only watched the 2006 film. Never had an interest in engaging with the spin-offs (although the songs “Can I have this dance” and “High school musical” from the third film are great)

I saw “Starlight Express” when I was a young teen, but I simply can’t remember where I saw it.
I think it was in Copenhagen when the regular cast from London was on a European tour.
It was awesome!
And I saw a production of “Rent” (I think it was in London). But my wife has since played that album so much that my right eye involuntarily starts twitching when the “525.600 minutes” song is on 
And I might have been the main character in my efterskole (Bording School?) production of the Danish “rock” musical Askepop (a modern Cinderella adaption) - and my wife stayed with me after that …
And my word the amount of times my sisters have had “The Sound of Music” playing in the background during my childhood

I love musicals! I was obsessed with the Music Man when I was a kid, watched both movie versions and listened to the soundtrack on loop. Just saw Beetlejuice today, it was a lot of fun. My favorite is probably Book of Mormon.
I’m lucky enough to get paid to play in the pit orchestra for some local school productions now (first it was just my high school, now that I’m in college I’ve done some at other schools as well).

One reason why I do bring up My Little Pony in the context of musicals is both that the show had a lot of music in its time, and also that there were clearly musical fans writing for it.
Fans of the Music Man would probably recognise this one…

As a side note, that’s one thing I love in media directed at younger audiences, when they reference or parody more well known songs, as it leads kids down the path of broadening their horizons, and, say, going and seeing the Music Man.
Sesame Street had a wide variety of songs that would do this as well, like “Rebel L” instead of “Rebel Yell” (which is also fun in that the guy dressed like Billy Idol just wanted everyone to be quiet so he could sleep, and the police officer arresting the L for disturbing the peace is louder then it is…). And of course, the Muppet Show did this a lot as well.
(I’ve always generally been someone who will watch/listen to/read anything, regardless of intended audience.)

Yeah, shame the G5 series wasn’t really in line with it, but the G5 movie itself was great, and all the songs from it were ones I was listening to over and over. “Fit Right In” was undoubtedly my favorite, followed by “Danger, Danger”, and “Gonna Be My Day” was extremely catchy as well.

Yeah, and she was voiced by Kimiko Glenn in the movie, who I love. She was also great as Horse in Centaurworld (which also has a ton of great music and is very much a musical), and plays Nifty in Hazbin Hotel as well (okay, maybe she plays in musicals a lot).

Kimiko Glen also played Dawn in the original cast of the musical adaption of Waitress. Her character’s solo is my favorite song from that musical.

I love her singing. That’s one reason I was happy she was the lead in Centaurworld.
