He was in Pacific Rim too, if I remember correctly.
And Pinocchio!
Which one? Disney remake or ‘Not Disney but released at exactly the same time’…?
The answer lies one Google search away!
(It’s the other one!).
Wait he was in Del Toro’s Pinocchio?!
Now I have to watch that, was already on the list but this bumps it up
Rewatched A New Hope in honor of James Earl Jones
Oh yes, you should! It’s my favourite film of 2022 and a marvellous piece of filmmaking! German’s role is minor, but at least he’s in it!
RIP Mufasa
Trap the new M. Night Shyamalan film is not a film, its a promo for his daughter’s rather tepid R & B career.
Watched Lost Highway. Good film!
One of the main actors looks exactly like Ianto Jones, which was super distracting, but I always love Lynch, lol
Watched a couple more movies in the evenings with friends.
On Monday we watched Glass Onion which wasn’t as good as Knives Out but was still quite interesting.
Then yesterday we watched Murder Mystery which I thought was pretty bad and I kept rolling my eyes but the others thought it was really funny
I want to see the new Alien film but my husband says it’s too scary for him, who will go with me?
Watched Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes again, this time the Raw Cut which compares the original footage shot with the final version.
CAUTION: Possible spoilers if you haven’t seen the movie.
Oh no, I thought Glass Onion was even better. Absolutely loved that film - was grinning all the way through.
I mean, it’s silly and what have you but again, I really rather enjoyed it. I’m not sure Jennifer Aniston is ever given full credit for her comedy abilities, even after Friends. Haven’t got around to the sequel yet.
This morning I did a rewatch of Beetlejuice, which I enjoyed just as much as I did every time I watched it before.
Then I went to see Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. This one was actually amazing. I liked the first one a lot already, but this one is even better. I had so much fun.
Tonight’s movie was Sudden Death. Probably the most entertaining of the Die Hard clones.
Oooh, I haven’t heard of this one! I’ll add it to my ever-growing watchlist!
A ‘dumb fun’ little film.
There is no film quite like Zardoz. Wonderful to see this bonkers movie on the big screen & with director John Boorman in the house. At 91 his recollection of filmmaking was obviously not always at the forefront of his mind but just to be there & give the bloke a round of applause was enough
I saw the best film of 2024 earlier this evening, The Substance. Not for the squeamish an absolutely incredible, stylish OTT body horror movie about female body image expectations. It was a Q & A screening with star Demi Moore who is amazing in the lead role.
