Checked out Black Adam recently. Not as bad as the critics were saying, but nothing spectacular either.
I don’t think the film would be as entertaining if it wasn’t for Dwayne Johnson playing the titular character. I’m definitely glad we’re getting James Gunn’s DC Universe and not the Rock’s though.

Same. It sounds very interesting, but as Doctor Who has made me look away a few times already, I know I would not be able to sit through a ‘real’ horror movie.
(also apparently it’s a trans allegory and the main character has my first name… like i dont believe the universe is trying to tell me something but what if)

I just watched the Street Fighter movie from 1994 with my 12 year old son 
That is really a 90s videogame action movie and camp as heck.
Jean-Claude Van Damme does his thing. Explosions and weirdly choreographed fight sequences.
Kylie Minogue and Simon Callow are in it, there is your Doctor Who link 
But the main takeaway is that Ming-Na Wen hasn’t aged in the last 30 years 
Snacks: crisps named “Inferno” - my mouth is burning and I would much rather watch the Third Doctor episode by the same name

Just watched another 90s videogame action movie with my son.
“Double Dragon” from 1994, set in the far-flung future of 2007.
I have no words. That was baaaaad.
Couldn’t even find a single link, however tenuous, to Doctor Who.
The only good thing about it was the very end when the villain has been defeated and his two henchmen are standing next to a road with a sign saying: “Will hench for food!”

Yeah, I watched it yesterday. Pretty heartbreaking, but also really surreal, psychedelic and intuitive (I really like all this characteristics in art), so I overall really enjoyed it. I saw someone describing it as “Donnie Darko for they/them” and I completely agree, so… a lot of the time I felt like this movie was made for me, lol) To me it’s the best movie this year, and definently one of my absolute favourites

We spent the weekend watching Bruce Willis and Ben Affleck save the world from an approaching asteroid in Armageddon as well as Leonardo di Caprio refusing to get up on that floating debris so that he could have survived in Titanic. My wife had the mood for those kinds of movies!
Oh, and The Pacifier for some good fun
