I mean, the other Unbound Doctors are good though, Arabella Weir’s is…
…well, the writing for that story is a disaster

I liked it. Anyway, back to Thirteen with another controversial statement. At Childhood’s End happened, fight me.
What do you mean by ‘it happened’?
Og course it happened!
Yeah, but Power of The Doctor has a different Ace in it. (A false Ace. Ace should be in space.)
Sidenote, but I decided to myself Mr Colchester from Torchwood[1] invited Ace [2] when watching the episode on broadcast. Because of the Ace audio Death In Venice from Big Finish. Realised this is probably a sensible time to mention that.
Oh, just says that he’s an audio exclusive character.
Oh fair, don’t think that needs spoiling tbh
Team roster is a big spoiler sometimes. Especially Torchwood. It’s like spoiling that Nate doesn’t leave the show Legends of Tomorrow on-screen or that someone dies in Buffy. Or that a non-friendly robot becomes a friendly robot when literally the previous episode they were a main villain.
In some cases it can be, but Colchester isn’t a spoiler for TSC at all (I can think of some characters that may be, but Colchester is like the least spoilery character)
If they’re on the cover[1], it’s not really much of a spoiler.
and Colchester is on the cover for Aliens Among Us 1 ↩︎
I think some characters being on covers can still be a spoiler, there’s a reason why hooklight 2 had a fake cover for a while, but yeah, if they’re on the cover for the first thing in a set, it’s probably fine
Fair enough. It does depend on the story and the character. But in general, I’d be less likely to spoiler a character if they appear on the cover, especially the older the story.
Almost finished Flux
It’s good but feels like it could’ve done with one or two more parts to allow some breathing room
Looking forward to her BF stuff and i’ve got a book and comic to read (that i own right now) to tide me over for now
I just read something on Reddit which I found to be strange. Maybe someone here knows more about it (I don’t know why I was on Reddit either). Is it true that CC said to Jodie that she should not watch any of the earlier seasons of Doctor Who before playing the role?
Yeah I remember this being said in DWM at the time
Yeah that’s true I remember it from around S11, he wanted her to go in without any preconceptions.
Thanks. That is such a bad way of getting her prepared for the role. You don’t need to see everything, but at least some stuff…
I feel like she did go and watch some Doctor Who later, though, like between seasons or something, but I can’t quite pin down if I’m right on that…
iirc it was to not let the other Doctors’ performances influence her too much and to encourage her play the role her way (but I do agree with you Tian)
Yeah, I understand why; I just don’t think that it is the best way of preparing someone for the role. It is much better to recommend some highlights from each Doctor to show how each has made the role their own. It is known that Matt Smith got a lot of help with this when he saw the Second Doctor.
