K9 - How?!?! Why?!?!

To keep your own sanity, it’s really best not to ask too many questions about the’‘plot’’ of K9… there’s a story in there somewhere, not that it knows it

Okay, so after being brainwashed by you lovely people and threatened with having my fan license revoked, I decided it was finally time to do this.

I am watching episode 1, Regeneration, as I’m typing this.

There is no going back now. I will sue you all if you cause me nightmares, insanity, and irreversible psychological damage. Unless you reward me with TWO badges instead of one! Muahahaha!

Thoughts and review later.

Nightmares, unlikely. Irreversible psychological damage though? Can’t promise you’ll be safe from that

Ep4 the bounty hunter: the world building in this series is so weird, somehow I have no idea how evil who is and they just pasted a dystopian aesthetic over 2010 London/Australia but it’s really not dystopian at all? So weird

Can I just say that I absolutely love this thread  It just keeps on giving.

Watching K9 and posting about it here is truly the TARDIS Guide Rite of Passage :sunglasses:

Watched the Cambridge Spy. For one glorious moment, Darius was erased from existence. Sadly, they reversed it.

One thing I find interesting is that if you look at the IMDB profile for the guy who plays Drake:

He appears to be directing a lot of things , and he’s also a stuntsman !

Also, he’s got a beard.

Ep5 Sirens of cerens: weird, but we sort of get some character stuff? Don’t like the flirting though

Also my face hurts

From what I have seen he is definitely not an actor… :sunglasses:

And he seems to have been in a music video. “Van Vuuren Bros: London Underground”, which is on youtube…

Ep6 Fear itself: actually has some interesting character stuff on K9. I think this show is better if it actually focuses on him

Ep7 the fall of the house Griffin: this could have been good if I actually cared about these characters. Unfortunately I don’t so it’s still bad. The kids were good at being creepy

Then the Wiki, and the Guide, is very wrong. About everything K9. Are you sure about this?! :k9:

Am I the only one who thinks Drake is a hottie?!

How dare you doubt me!

I was waiting for you to be along to comment on this…

According to Wikipedia, it’s the original mark I who regenerates, making this an alternate mark II? Or perhaps 1.5?

That’s why it’s called “Mark 2” as opposed to “Mark II”

Just had a quick shufty at the wiki and it says K9 Mark 2 is the one which regenerates but I can’t see how this fits with K9 Mark I on Gallifrey.

@sircarolyn will probably remember better but which K9 is it that ends up ‘dead’ in Gallifrey?

Sounds like a bit of a fudge on the part of Paul Tams if I’m honest.

Ep8 Jaws of Orthrus: tbh, I’ve half-forgotten this one already. The dancing robots were funny. Also why do all the protesters only have black and white signs? You’d think a rebellion could use some colour

It’s Leela’s, so whatever mark we decided that one was. The OG, I guess

Maybe this is what happens to Romana’s K9 after he vanishes after Gallifrey s6…
