Hello stonehenge. etc

Hi fellow nerds! I’m Anna, 24, and I’ve been a fan of the show since I was 10. I’ll admit I’ve only watched a handful of episodes of classic who, and somehow I’ve never got around to Torchwood…
I’m curious as to what people’s watching habits are - me and my friends tend to find things to keep track of while watching/marathoning the show, like whether an episode passes the bechdel test (they usually do!) or whether anyone is shirtless (a habit we picked up while watching the X-Men films, and then Riverdale).
For me personally, I’ve been keeping track of whether an episode contains or mentions sandwiches - I think it happened twice in a row on the SJA, and then very infrequently from then on… In retrospect, probably not the best thing to track. But I’m invested now!
So far the presence of sandwiches is pretty lackluster:

Anyone else have any weird things they like to keep track of?

Welcome to you and what a lovely introduction!

This is probably the coolest and funniest bit of tracking data I’ve come across online in a very long time! I love it!

Welcome. You’ll want to check out the Third Doctor serial The Sea Devils because there’s an excellent sandwich scene with the Doctor and Master at the end of part 2 (plus it’s just a really good story anyway).

This is so awesome. I love this data and want to know more. Who mentions sandwiches the most? My guess would be that it is Graham.

Jackie Tyler is probably also a contender :slightly_smiling_face:

Rose only spoke of chips but there was a lot of food talk in RTD 1.

Yeah Rose Tyler and Bill Potts would get along just fine on that front

Half of that food talk was just from the Master in sigh The End of Time

Oh by the way, I just realised I hadn’t given a welcome in this thread.

So a warm welcome to TARDIS Guide @felfotch , is it okay if we just call you Blon instead? And should we be worried about that zip in your forehead? :slitheen:

Welcome!

Have you seen the “tropes” and “inventory” filters on the site?

Stuff like passing the bechdel test is exactly what I am looking for in Tropes, so maybe sometime you could provide a list and I’ll add it. I’ll explain how best to provide it if you’re interested.

Also sandwiches would be great to add to inventory! Only when they appear on screen.

I love tracking things like this, we have quite a few odd ones at the moment!

Enjoy the site!

Welcome! What a great and quirky thing to track. I just collect clues to help put everything in a sensible chronological order (mostly by the Doctor’s experience if they are around, or else for a relevant character or group of characters if not, linking where possible, e.g., Benny & Vienna).

Welcome to the forum @felfotch - great to have you here - even if you might be a Slitheen in disguise

Welcome! And, gotta say, as a lover of spreadsheets and data, it’s always nice to encounter someone else who appears to be a compulsive data hound! :grinning:

Anyway, look forward to seeing your contributions. Enjoy!
