Back in 2021, I knew nothing about Doctor Who—until I discovered it through a game. As I played, I became part of a passionate community where fans shared their knowledge of the show’s vast lore while I learned the ins and outs of the game I was enjoying.
Since then, my love for Doctor Who has only grown! I’m currently watching the Eleventh Doctor’s era and, of course, keeping up with all the latest episodes that are set to come!
Not sure what more I can add about myself, except that I am an amateur content creator and always trying to learn more.
Yeah, before that, I had never heard of the show. It’s quite strange, especially when you learn about its history and how old it is (the longest-running TV show). Just that fact alone makes it something everyone should know about!
The game is called Doctor Who: Worlds Apart. It’s currently in early beta, so I’ve seen its development from the very beginning since I joined. It’s such a different experience for me watching the show compared to others—I view it from the game’s perspective, seeing my cards come to life, haha.
Your origin story is certainly unique. I don’t think I’ve heard of anyone else who found Doctor Who through video games (probably because there aren’t a whole lot of them, and they aren’t very good).
But it obviously worked for you, which is what matters!
