Hello there! I jumped the wagon on being a whovian in 2014, binged the whole revived show up until Capaldi’s first series and then just didn’t stop, lol. 10 years later results in: finished Classic series (approximately twice, depends on how to count those random rewatches and Doctor Who Marathon on Twitch of 2018), almost all of spin-offs (sorry, K9) and more than a couple of books, both novels and comics (Titan’s Elventh series was kinda cool to say the least). Currently rounding up McGann’s MR run, it was a fun ride.
In terms of Classic Doctors: i adore Sixth, but love Seventh (brilliant blueprint for NuWho).
In terms of NuWho: Ninth is the GOAT, but also is Twelfth.
Hope you won’t mind having a russian whovian in your (not so) little corner of the internet!
Hi and welcome to the forum. When you do decide to watch the K9 series I would recommend this thread K9 - How?!?! Why?!?! where you can write about your frustration with the series.
Like is too strong a word.
Upon experiencing K9 you will have a lot of emotions. You may find yourself developing a paradoxical love for it but it will be detrimental to your sanity. Everyone should watch it and suffer
And you people! You tricking the new kid into watching that K9 show already? @Jekobah Remember no matter what they say, it’s not obligatory to watch the K9 show and suffer together just to get that badge
I hope you enjoy your stay despite getting caught up in this bickering amongst us about the importance of K9!
It’s very important. It’s a rite of passage. I watched it and lost my mind, but it was worth it for the badge!
Now, your requirements for loving Scandinavian stuff like IKEA, pickled herring, Moomins, LEGO and long, cold winter nights are a different discussion topic…
I’ve also been a fan for over a decade now and have watched the episodes many times, though I have not devoured the EU stuff quite as extensively before I joined this site.
Hope you enjoy your stay here!
While understandable that you may want to avoid the K9 Show, you should definitely watch K9 and Company, it’s a very complex but yet masterful crafted Episode and RTD told me it will be important for Season 3/Series 16!!!
