Does anybody who’s going have a CD copy of The Kingmaker that they might be willing to bring and sell me? I ordered one to get signed and it may still arrive on time but the tracking hasn’t updated in a while and it’s got me worried, so I’m looking for a backup

Well, the down escalator will be out of service. That’ll be fun. What I don’t understand is why they don’t just make sure it’s locked in place and won’t move, then just use it as stairs.

I would imagine there are safety implications because the ‘step’ is quite a lot deeper on an escalator than on stairs. I mean if they were in a less litigous country maybe…

They’re just really not made to be walked on when they’re stopped and I think there’s several potential failure points that are huge safety risks. Not sure how likely any of them are, but definitely not worth the risk

I’m a last minute packer. I’ll do it when I get home after my 8-ball match. Might even go to bed, if there’s enough time to be worth it. Should be landing at LAX 13:40 local time tomorrow.
