Will reading the novelisation of “Warrior’s Gate” help make more sense of what is actually happening in that story?

I can never quite work out if it is super complicated and I just don’t get it or if it is actually quite simple and I wildly overthink it

And are the two short stories that were added for the newer Target release any good?

Looking at art prints to get in my room now that I’ve organised it and have a Doctor Who area.

This poster of “all the companions” includes Wilf! Wilf is a companion, confirmed

This has already been pointed out but it also includes Vinder so it’s veracity is questionable at best. It also includes River so…

Along with Kate Stewart, Mickey, River Song and the Brigadier…

They certainly have a different way of determining companions than I have…

But they got Karvanista right :sunglasses:

Yeah, noticed Kate Lethbridge-Stewart at the top, and know it wouldn’t be confirmation…

Also if Sara Kingdom is on there I think Bret Vyon should be there as well
(And Nicholas Courtney would be on there twice then :slightly_smiling_face:)

Bret is NOT a companion.

Sara Kingdom is.

The Brigadier is a companion, and companionship is hereditary, so therefore Kate is a companion as well.

Mickey is definitely a companion!

And River is the ultimate companion for life—the definitive article, you might say.

Yes he is.
Yes she is.
No he isn’t+ shenanigans (and no she isn’t)

Hereditary! That means Rose Noble is a companion, and technically River? This is just going too far now, what’s next? Everyone’s a companion?? :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

What is the single paragraph explanation of what makes a companion for you?

Recurring and continuous TARDI-BOX travelling friendly individual? Maybe?
I honestly haven’t given it that much thought

River is much too on/off for me to label her as a companion. :upside_down_face:

Bret Vyon fills the exact same role as Sara Kingdom does in The Daleks’ Master Plan, which is why I think that if Sara is counted he should as well

As this is a time travel show it should work the other direction as well.

Sylvia is a companion
Jackie is a companion
Tremas is a companion
Dan’s parents (and their woks) are companions.

If we start going with anyone that’s ever been on an adventure with the Doctor as a companion, we can get HG Wells as a companion, Mary Shelley, Queen Victoria, Harry Houdini…
