Well I’ve entered and if I win (fat chance) I will of course extend the invitation to TARDIS Guide alumni - who has 30 friends anyway?!
I’ve entered! I’ll invite anyone who wants to come if I win
But you don’t live in London - the centre of the universe? I’m assuming if you win you’ll choose a cinema local to me, right?
There are plenty of trains to Ipswich
Ipswich gets a shoutout in The End of the World:
DOCTOR: Don’t move!
ROSE: Where are am I going to go, Ipswich?
I love this line. It’s directly lifted from RTD’s earliest TV work, Dark Season, spoken by none other than a young Kate Winslet! You can see a lot of his Doctor Who work in those scripts, and that line made me laugh out loud when I watched DS because I recognised it from The End of the World.
“I can tease something about the Christmas special. Imagine in the far, far future, imagine that a hotel chain got hold of the idea of time travel. What’s the first thing a hotel chain would do if they had time travel? They’d realise they had an opportunity to sell all the unsold nights in their own hotels in history.”
Yay, dinosaurs!!! A nice looking Rex, too.
Looks to me like it’s going to be a whole lot of fun, and a bit different from previous Christmas specials. Feeling pretty excited for this. Not much longer now!
Really like the outfit Ncutis in for this ep. Feels like his main outfit from S1 but a bit more Doctor-y with the suspenders and more blue tint in the hair.
So we get the return of Villengard (hopefully this time the plot is about them), Doctor Who’s best dinosaur yet, and…
the dodgy CG Silurian isn’t just a minor character. Great.
Looks awesome but that clip seemed like a massive spoiler!
Excited!
Watched it last night with the family. All seemed excited by the cliffhanger ending.
Love Nicola Coughlan so excited for her too. Is it too much to hope we might have a Catherine Tate situation happen?
I wouldn’t say it’s impossible, but I guess it really depends if her schedule does allow it. I believe, similarly to Ncuti, she is somebody who is quite in demand in recent time. But who knows? Maybe they can work around it!
Perusing Bluesky and came across this
