Flatline and Empress of Mars for me. I love Flatline, and both S8 Mathieson scripts a great deal for that matter. Really just incredible stories. Empress of Mars is one of Gatiss’ few new who stories I actually really enjoy, and I can’t think of much I dislike if anything at all. Definitely a good one to go out on.

Extremely shocked that I’m not the first one to pick Empress, but I love the Ice Warriors + Colonial Victorians combo (also the ending is a redux of the ending of Storm Warning, which I like a lot.)

Probably expect to be the lone stalwart defending Night Terrors though.

Voting for forest of the dead because river song :star_struck: and I also voted for flatline because i find it very funny and enjoyable to watch!
This was hard, there were only a couple out of this list I don’t really like

Yeah, it’s a coin flip for me between It Takes You Away and Resolution for my favourite Thirteen episode. I love The Power of the Doctor too, but I tend to enjoy that as more of a celebration of the entire show than a Thirteen episode specifically.

I don’t know what the feelings about The Empress of Mars are, but to me, it’s a serial that doesn’t get talked about enough. It’s campy as hell, but has some great “Doctor is an old warrior” moments in it.

Also, the Ice Warriors are a favourite species of mine in DW. It’s a shame that most of their stories are forgotten about. They have a cool design, and interesting character arc over the show.

I am surprised at how much I like ep 9s across the board! This was hard, but push comes to shove I do think The Empty Child and Forest Of The Dead are out-and-out bangers, even just those single episodes of a larger story. But it hurt not to pick Flatline or It Takes You Away in particular, I love both of those to bits.

A lot of good options there but The Family of Blood may just be the best episode of Doctor Who ever. Please let Paul Cornell write for the show again.

And Forest of the Dead is pretty damn near perfect too, Moffat at his absolute best.
