Otherwise my favourites are Sarah Jane, Evelyn, Romana and Donna
Agreed. I never get people who complain about flawed characters. The more flawed they are, the more interesting they are to watch.
If I’m picking a top 5 I think it’s gotta be Peri, Clara, Yaz, Donna, and Rose (in that order probably but don’t hold me to that). Honorable mentions include Erimem, Liz, Dodo, and Rose Noble (though I wouldn’t really call her a companion but Magic the Gathering does so I can put her on this list).
It makes me happy that I’m seeing a good few people list Clara. I remember how hated she was by many of the fans back during her time.
Clara was the first companion I latched on to. She and Twelve were my original favorite TARDIS Team.
I can’t list five, so I’ll just go through my favourites: Liz, Jo, Rory, Clara, Bill, Nardole, Yaz, Ryan, Graham, and Dan.
I’m really excited for Leela and Romana because they sound exactly like characters I’d love.

The complaints never made sense to me. People said it became ‘The Clara Show’, but Doctor Who is a show told from the companion’s perspective. They’re supposed to be the entry point for us into the Doctor’s world.
