it’s not so much that he couldn’t fit it into the Pantheon (he does say that) but also that he wanted to treat this real religion with some respect and you can’t do that while making them Doctor Who monsters. I agree.

I know we had Satan, but imagine we had Jesus or the Prophet Muhammad as a Doctor Who villain, I don’t think that would go down well.

Oh absolutely. Can you imagine the backlash! Something like Satan is fairer game due to how mythologised he has become outside of Christianity.

Well despite it being one of my favourite episodes, I too forgot Midnight!

It’s so lucky that they added that flashback of David Tennant to remind me!

Every episode should feature a picture of David Tennant just flashing up on the screen, to boost the ratings
