Oh please, they wouldn’t advertise the show with a Doctor that doesn’t count !!!

(But seriously, there are still people who say this, I’ve met them )

Didn’t David Eightant play the 8th Doccy What?
Just wait till RTD announces the new, mature DW spinoff Doctor Whoa! starring David Teninch…
What if any time 15 was sad, instead of showing one tear going down his face, they put in a picture of David Tennant being sad in the rain?
Wait a second here. When was David Flippin’ Tennant in Doctor Who?!?
Great performance! It’s a shame his career never took off after that masterful take of a German soldier. I wonder how he’s doing these days?
Riding Michael Sheen’s coattails as far as I’m aware
I think that his wife was in an episode 15 or so years ago.
It was very blink-and-you’ll-miss-it.
Ahhh that’s why he doesn’t want us to blink.
It’s a very short Moment, but he was my favorite Character without a Name in this Serial! (Sorry, couldn’t resist joining the Bandwagon, lol)
Finished my Midnight double bill! And I’m sad to say that I don’t think watching Midnight immediately before The Well gave me any deeper understanding or connection or anything that I didn’t initially pick up on, other than one scene: Where Aliss says “why would it come for me? I’m nothing!” Perfectly contrasts with Sky going “it’s coming for me! It’s coming for me!” But other than that contrast I didn’t really get anything new from doing it this way in particular.
That being said, why the hell did I give The Well 4.5 on Saturday!? It’s a 5 star easily! While I don’t think it’s perfect like Midnight is, it’s so close to it it deserves the 5 imo
What a fantastic double bill
I saw this posted by @DuckyWhovian on X, and it is something I have been thinking about so it’s useful to have this picture!
From Midnight, here is something Jethro (my beloved) says:
So this proves that at least some of the people on the bus where human.
How does this fit with the idea that humans are now somehow written out of existence?
Sure, the Doctor and Belinda can remember Earth in an alternate timeline where it wasn’t destroyed May 24 2025, because they are Time Travellers, that much has been said before (mostly by Moffat).
But if Earth never existed, the people on the bus would have been different, maybe the bus doesn’t even exist, and then the Midnight entity never met the Doctor but he spoke to him and knows his name?
Or does it all work out fine, in this timeline the Midnight entity didn’t actually meet the Doctor, it still never got out before The Well, and can just read minds or something? (It’s not like the Doctor told it his name last time they met).
Just an interesting thought!
Surely that’s just typical timey-wimey- ness in that Earth and humans not existing wasn’t an event in the timeline until whatever happens in this season whereas that hadn’t happened in the timeline when Midnight happened.
Not sure you understood what I meant.
For the people they talked to, Earth didn’t exist. But for the Midnight entity, the events of Midnight seemingly took place. It’s a bit of a contradiction?
Unless those events didn’t need to take place, for everything that happened in this episode. Which I don’t think they did. But it means when the Doctor says to the entity that he met him before, the entity is thinking “new timeline, who dis?”
