This has solidified my belief that ~8 years down the line, weāll get a time hotel boxset, followed by a sequel boxset that ends on a cliffhanger that never gets resolved

Okay to be fair, not a cliffhanger, but itāll hint at there being more to come and there wonāt be (Rani Takes on The World felt like there should be more and thereās not)
(also SJS ended on a cliffhanger as far as I know)

The archive footage from the Day of the Daleks comes from the Special Edition, as it includes Nicholas Briggās dubbing of the Dalek voices and the new version of the Dalekās interrogation screen. This was the first time something exclusive from a home video release is used in the main show.
Last week we got the first use of Big Finish, this week we get the first use of a home video release

I have to agree with what others have said re: committing to the casting. If it turns out its some fake out or not technically 16 then itās just a joke at this point.

The more I think about it, the more I want multiple seasons with Billie as Sixteen. It would be fun if she didnāt mention that she looks like Rose and just goes 200% from the start. The last part will not happen, but it would be fun!

I am not terribly enamoured with the idea of Billie as 16 but Iād rather she at least gets a whole full series. The idea of this being a clickbait move is worse to me than it being āfor realā. That said, I really do not want her to meet Tennant again if she gets a full series. Please please just let her be her own thing

I cannot see this being done for any other reason than clickbait. Its all just content now in the age of streaming. How many people on social media are talking about the actual episode v just talking about Bilie turning up.

If Billie really is the Doctor, then I donāt think she needs one season for her Doctor. I think she needs five, six, seven. No more shortlived Doctors! Thatās what I hoped for Ncuti but oh well.

I agree with this part, Ncuti got the fuzzy end of the lollipop.
As for multiple seasons of Billie as Doctor Who. Iām sure there are plenty of young new actors that would love the opportunuity but RTD gatekeeping & giving things to his mates again.

In all honesty these are gonna be a very tiring few weeks to be a Doctor Who fan, especially one that actually likes this episode. Yesterday alone was bloody exhausting - say what you want but seeing something you like get repeatedly rinsed by like, 95% of the fandom is not a good feeling
I wonder what the ratings of Hell Bent or TTC would have been if TARDIS guide had been around when they airedā¦
