I loved how Mel just rode her bright orange scooter right into the UNIT tower command deck maybe 50 floors up. She didn’t even take her helmet off on the lift ride up there

Absolute cinema. Not quite a masterpiece but a bloody good piece of Doctor Who. I’ll miss 15 sm but I’m curious about how Billie’s gonna play 16 if nothing else

I think I really enjoyed it? I certainly liked it a hell of a lot more than last week. The main flaw was that it had too many characters. But it was an awful lot of fun.

I am so ■■■■■■■ angry right now. I was actually having a good time with that episode until the ending – yeah the episode was an absolute mess that completely fumbled omega and the rani but I was just so so happy about looms being mentioned and 13 appearing (!!!) that I could ignore it. But the doctor regenerating into another actor from rtd1 is the worst decision that’s ever been made. I’m literally crying tears of anger now. Doctor who is about so much more than just that one era, and if they genuinely thought this was the best choice to make I’m terrified for the future of the show. And reducing Belinda to a story where motherhood is all that drives and fulfils her is so boring and misogynistic.
Thank god for the expanded universe, because I’ve lost all faith in televised doctor who at the moment.

Also it doesn’t say Billie is the 16th Doctor so will this end up being some sort of war or fugitive situation where she’ll have her own name? I’m so curious, i can’t wait to see more of her

I think so, or at least that it was brought about by the cellular explosion or whatever the hell it was.
Two thoughts on “is Billie the Doctor”:
- We may be overthinking it. Anita Dobson was still credited as “Mrs Flood” rather than “the Rani.”
- If we aren’t, could Thirteen’s suggestion of shifting their DNA or whatever be part of it?
This is kind of what I’m thinking.
