I need a billion billion more Archie Rani episodes forever I love her

Still mad about that. WHY! What purpose does it serve to have the antagonist die unceremoniously not even half way through the finale. she deserved so much better

The next episode will be called ROSE TYLER, calling it now.

Give her a salaried position on Big Finish. I need more.

One thing that I hope doesn’t get lost among all this is how bloody marvelous Millie Gibson is. She was brilliant throughout the whole episode. I loved her scenes where Poppy vanishes in the TARDIS. She was great with Conrad. Hope we see her again someday.

Disney might be on for more?

At least RTD is partly self aware.

Is now a bad time to say that Disney account is likely run by the same team that run the BBC Studios social media stuff?

How does it work though? She already regenerated… does it mean 14 can regenerate?

For all the stick RTD gets, those brief couple of minutes of him writing 13 made me like her more than her era ever did. I adore Jodie but always thought the way she was written let her down. It gives me real hope and excitement for her Big Finish run - can’t wait to see how well she does with different writers. I believed the Thasmin stuff in that brief, easy interaction, in a way I never did originally (and I’ve wanted a proper queer Doctor/Companion relationship for ages!).

Ruby was absolutely spectacular this episode, one of my favourite aspects, I think Millie absolutely killed the role

Millie was incredible. Better characterization than I honestly think she got in the entirety of Season 1. Also Cherry Sunday out of bed, love to see it.

Wait a minute, weren’t we meant to get biregeneration explained this episode? I guess this means it really is a repopulation tool?

No, I just think RTD doesn’t know what it is either

I can’t believe RTD brought Omega back for a 3 minute scene where he eats the Rani and then gets shot.

I really truly can’t begin to comprehend it. Ignoring Billie, the episode was truly awful. Omega? The Rani? Wasted! No Susan!?! Poppy being the focus when we idgaf!? The treatment of Belinda was AWFUL!

Like I spent the entire episode waiting for the “Poppy is Susan’s mum! Sometime in the future she will bring my granddaughter forth!” but then they just forgot about her.

one big criticism:

Doctor Who boldly casts a trans actress in a leading role. Trans actress then has absolutely nothing to do in all of her post-60th episodes.

The way she was written in The Star Beast was SO beautiful. The dumb ending aside, her relating to the Meep, the way those boys deadnamed her, and the conversations between Sylvia and Donna were so so so real. As a trans gal who really grew up with Who, that made me so happy.

They could have done something really interesting in expanding on her not being part of Conrad’s world because he doesn’t see trans people as real.

Yasmin Finney is a beautiful, incredible actress. I wish she wasn’t just set decoration. RTD writes such beautiful queer stories and has the capacity for it. All he’s telling me, as a trans viewer, is that we’re nothing but our identities, in a room to tick a box. Tell our stories. Tell Rose’s.
