It IS a great season! I love the diversity of storytelling on display. Much as season 5, the celebrated “Monster” season is enjoyable, it’s much more samey in terms of story style and structure. Season 4 is bold, adventurous and different.

As much as I enjoy The Power of the Daleks, it is a little plodding. The Macra Terror was a real favourite when I watched it a month or so ago. The animation is fantastic.

It’s one of the best I would say! The colours really suit the atmosphere of the story

Plodding? Plodding? PLODDING!
I love the pacing of “Power”. Pretty much pitch perfect if you ask me (which, of course, you didn’t 
) but it IS one of those stories that benefits hugely from being watched in several instalments (as it was designed to be).
That said, can’t knock “The Macra Terror”. It’s such fun and features Troughton revelling in being anarchic!
BEN: “Pack it in, Doctor. The way you mess about you could do some damage.”
DOCTOR: “Better some damage than loss of will power.”
