Then I became curious.
I was curious as to what Doctors in other shows or movies and other media that have caught your eye.
Capaldi for instance was fantastic in Torchwood’s Children of Earth but did you know that he was on AppleTV in a crime drama called Criminal Record?
And David Tennant was in Disney’s Ahsoka.
And tuning into Blake’s 7 just to watch Colin Baker as Bayban @CommanderBayban The Berzerker is always a fun treat.
So WHO have you seen and where? As another Geek, I dont want to miss any of them
Jodie Whittaker and Christopher Eccleston in the National Theater production of Antigone, which happened before Whittaker was cast but after Eccleston’s run. There’s a professional recording but it’s technically only available for educational use, unless you happen to be deep enough in the part of fandom that’s catalogued Jodie Whittaker’s every production and TV appearance…
A whole host of people in Broadchurch. Such a compelling show, even if it did go off the rails after the first season. Just don’t bring up the American remake Gracepoint.
Eccleston in The Second Coming, penned by RTD. Interesting take on Jebus.
Broadchurch was really good. You’ve got a whole host of Whoniverse in that including but not limited to David Tennant, Jodie Whitaker, David Bradley, Arthur Darvill, Eve Myles and more.
Christopher Eccleston was in Heroes.
David Tennant is the king of the sequels, often found taking over the reins from another actor, for example St Trinian’s 2: The Legend of Fritton’s Gold and Nativity 2: Danger in the Manger and (ahem) Doctor Who.
David Tennant also starred in Casanova, which led to him being cast as The Doctor.
I always found it funny that Peter Capaldi played a character called “W.H.O. Doctor” in World War Z, which was released right around the time he was announced as the 12th Doctor! Apparently a coincidence though.
Matt Smith shows up in Terminator: Genesys and Morbius (no, not that one!).
John Hurt suffers one of the most iconic movie deaths ever in my all-time favourite film Alien.
Decided to rewatch the first couple episodes of Jonathan Creek a while back, and imagine my surprise when Colin Baker showed up in the first episode (with a weird little ponytail, thought I had to mention).
Looking through IMDb, it also looks like Peter Davison shows up in a later episode.
And Paul McGann was apparently in an episode alongside Sheridan Smith, so we had a little Eight/Lucie reunion
Well, apparently there was a remake of “The Munsters” (sitcom from the 60s) with Sylvester McCoy in it! I haven’t watched it myself, but he looks pretty cool!
